Great location but definitely not a 4 star hotel as per advertised. It clearly looked like it was once a 2 or 3 star hotel and after some poor quality makeover they pushed it to categorize it as 4 star. Not a good sign. Very noisy air condition system and not in perfect working order. Breakfast was very average.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Salamanca. Had a great stay here. Would recommend. Staff was professional and warm. Breakfasts were diverse and delicious.

Not worth the value. Would not stay again.
No ramp at entrance. Just stairs. Small elevator and rooms, no coffee machine or anything in room. You expect that for that price. This hotel is not updated, just old style. I would not stay here again.

Anniversary trip with my wife. First time in Spain, in general the hotel was fine, location was excellent, breakfast was very good. The biggest complaint was the air conditioner. Spain was very hot at this time of the year, although the hotel and the room had an a/c, it wasn’t doing a great job. I do want to mention that of the 3 hotels that I stayed on during this trip. Only one had a good a/c, in Spain it seems like a/c units are not common, or maybe regulated as malls, museums, and pretty much every building we visited had no a/c or the temperature was set probably around 76-78 degrees.

A pleasant return to Madrid!
It's been a long time between visits to Madrid and my recollection was foggy re: best areas to stay. We chose Salamanca on recommendation and then found Hotel Serrano via a search. It was an excellent choice and will most likely return. Comfortable room, quiet environment and a very friendly (and helpful) staff made the stay most enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Affordable quality hotel
Very pleasant stay at this hotel. Situated next to an important boulevard in the city. So many good restaurants in the chic Salamanca neighborhood! Short walk to Gran Fénix hotel for Súper cocktails at night. Price/quality cannot be beat.
