Good but lacking in expected amenities
This hotel had a really good location near the Plaza Mayor but this location was extremely busy and crowded. Mostly, this was enjoyable but sometimes was a bit overwhelming. The downstairs bar, breakfast room and hallways were beautifully decorated. Our complaint would be with the lack of room amenities.The shower stall was a very small corner unit. We received only a small packet of tissues each rather than a box of tissues. The bathroom sink was attractive but too shallow if you wanted to wash out clothing items.The TV was antenna and not cable so there were no American/English channels. There are no USB ports, no face towels, only one wastebasket, bathroom divider was translucent so if you turned a light on in the bathroom the bedroom would be lighted, and bathroom noises were easily heard in the bedroom. It should be noted that the hotel was very clean, had good lighting in the room, and the staff was helpful.

This was an above average hotel and good for the price. We got a room upgrade that didn’t include a double bed but it was roomy. The breakfast staff was really nice and the offering was good. It was very conveniently located to the city center.

While this property is very nicely located and the staff is amazing I feel like we were duped. We received a “free” upgrade upon check in however the room was incredibly outdated and nothing I would have ever booked as a 4 star property. We were only in town for 35 hours so we decided to make do with it but I wasn’t thrilled. There was no bathroom door, not even a toilet door. There was outdated wood paneling and the pictures looked nothing like the rooms we booked. On our last night we noticed while going to bed that our linens had been changed but with dirty sheets and a completely different comforter that wouldn’t stay on the bed. I feel like we were given this “upgrade” bc they were able to sell the nicer updated rooms for more last minute. It’s definitely marketed to Americans as that’s all I encountered while there. Would have not stayed here and do not recommend when there are so many other hotels that are actually 4 star properties.

Located in a very lively area, we expected some noise at night, but that exceeded our expectations, it's Madrid after all. The hotel was remodeled nor far ago, everything looks update and clean. Rooms are on the small size, but for a couple with very little luggage, there are perfect. Pros: breakfast! Amazing! even better than some 5 star hotels, and the breakfast area is beautiful, perfect setting and illumination, nice music on the background. Cons: the architect that designed the bathrooms didn't thought of security, the shower ended in a pointed corner sticking out, and the huge sink with less than two inches deep, had corners pointed corners too. Overall, a very nice hotel that definitely we will go back.

The hotel is beautiful, the cleanliness is impeccable, the service of the staff is very good, the breakfast is excellent with a great variety and excellent quality. Unfortunately, although the location is excellent, the noise from the pedestrians and traffic is unbearable. There is never peace, always noise and noise. If you want to sleep in peace, I do not recommend this hotel at all. I had to use earplugs to be able to sleep and even then it was too noisy.
