Okay hotel.

Room was small but comfortable. Bathroom has issues- no fan, so mold on ceiling and takes a while to clear out fog from shower. Needs a fan for all the reasons. Coffee in room is awful and no coffee available downstairs unless you pay for large buffet breakfast. Excellent coffee shop nearby , ‘tho. Coffee Bar Calatrava.

The property is very close to Plaza Mayor walking distance. Staff was excellent, my only complain even though it was winter AC didn’t work, the room was hot every time we got in.

All around a below average experience. The rooms are small, the staff wasn’t welcoming, the location is alright. The beds are uncomfortable, the walls are thin and our room was at the end of the hall near the cleaning closet so all day and night we heard clattering from the cleaning people going in and out. The AC unit can’t be operated from the room so it was very hot. WiFi was spotty.

Hotel is ok and over value

Hotel over value. breakfast is not included but I notice all hotels in Madrid is the same. Cleaning Service is amazing with a friendly staff. Location is bit of a walk to the center of the city.

Overall is not a bad hotel. It’s located in La Latina neighborhood which is not a bad area. Puerta de Toledo train station is like three minutes away and two bus stops nearby with buses that takes you to Plaza Mayor. However because I stay during fall-winter season AC was not working, only the heater. Be aware that room gets hot and you need to open the window. Across the hotel there is a night club and gets really loud while you are trying to sleep. Staff were nice and the breakfast is really good and with a good variety (buffet) price €12 if is not included in your reservation.
