Property was clean, very convenient to attractions, room was good size. We were surprised to see there was construction near the front entry of the hotel as it had not been noted anywhere when making reservations. Breakfast is very busy due to the number of guests staying at the hotel and poor circulation of the food and coffee stations, making the breakfast experience far from relaxing. Concierge was helpful.

Sleepless in a great location
The hotel was immaculate, well presented and comfortable; breakfast was very good, though no tea or coffee in the room; shower was fab. The room was small but modern and the location very central. This meant that there were literally screaming people outside that kept me awake from 3am onwards. I asked for an iron as there wasn’t one in the room and was told there were no irons but I could pay for a laundry service after 9am. I chose a slightly crumpled look…

It is in a great location. Walking distance to Puerta del Sol, Gran Via, restaurants, and shopping. Currently some construction near the hotel, which will limit car or taxi access to the from of the hotel.

Great hotel in the heart of Madrid. A few minutes walk to p.d. Sol and lots of shopping and restaurants yet very quiet. Our room was clean and modern. Some days, around 9:00AM, the line to get to the dining area for breakfast was ~10 minutes since the dining area is small for the number of guests. It would have been nice if they had hot water and coffee machines in the room, but the kitchen staff were very accommodating if you asked for hot water. Victor, the hotel concierge, was very helpful and friendly and provided good restaurant recommendations.

The construction definitely made it a bit of a challenge to reach our hotel by car but the facilities and staff were great. Excellent location otherwise, close to all things delicious and beautiful.

Great location. Two easily accessible metro stations within 5 min. walk from the hotel. Easy access to most all the attraction within the Madrid Centro. The staff was friendly. However due to its proximity to plaza del sol and plaza at Grand Via, the noise level is also very high. (We were there during Spain Day) all the celebrations around town probably added to the noise level. All in all, the hotel is a typical older European hotel without a lot of modern amenities.

The hotel itself was very impressive. Lobby was clean and luxurious. We had unfortunately scheduled our stay without knowing about the Columbus day celebrations so it was very busy and were unable to reach the hotel because the parade cut us off from our route to the hotel. We had a very long day and just wanted food and to check in. The staff did not really make us feel welcome, and when i ordered food they did not let the delivery driver come up to bring us our order and instead had us come down to get it. The way the concierge told us to come down was not friendly and was snippy. This interaction with the staff was not the type of service i would expect from a 4 star hotel. After a long and dreadful day of being lost in a new city, we just wanted to rest in our room. The area around the hotel was also under construction so pickup from our uber the next day was very inconvenient as we had to walk with our luggage a few blocks away to get around and across the Gran Via to get picked up. All in all - unfortunate circumstances but the hotel staff did not improve our experience.

it’s the little things that matter. There’s no waters in the room and when I went to buy a water, it was two euros that’s ridiculous. I can buy a water on the street for one euro there’s also no coffee machine and the restaurant doesn’t open until seven we had a 6 AM flight and we couldn’t get coffee. It’s those little things that matter and I’ll never stay there again

Right in the middle of it all. Great city location to many food choices and shopping galor it that’s what your looking for. Metro steps away. Clean comfortable accommodations. I would book again. The included breakfast was a bonus.

We have been staying at the Hotel Liabeny for 40 years. Have always found the staff friendly & very helpful. The hotel is very clean & well maintained. Very centrally located to shops & many restaurants.

The room was very clean. Bathroom and shower was a great size. However mattress was very hard, leaving me with back ache in the morning. There was some noise from corridor and outside, so rooms could be better noise insulated. Air conditioning was good. Staff were very helpful. The hotel was in an excellent central location, close to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was of a good standard, however on one morning, got to breakfast late and there was little scrambled egg left.

We had a good experience. Excellent location. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Staff was helpful and prompt. Our room was spacious and clean. Only downside was, a lot of construction in front of the hotel.
