While the location of Latroupe Prado is excellent—right across from the Reina Sofía Museum and within walking distance of several major attractions and transportation options—it’s important to clarify that this is not a traditional hotel, but more of a hostel with similar accommodations. We stayed in a private room with a private bathroom, which was clean and functional, but the overall amenities were quite limited.
Rooms are cleaned every three days, there’s no in-room hairdryer (you must request one at the front desk and sign it out), and noise can be an issue depending on your room’s location. That said, the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay, which made a big difference in our overall experience. Just be sure to manage your expectations and know what you’re booking
If I had known this was a hostel from the beginning, I would have understood what to expect when booking; however, Expedia lists it as a hotel, so naturally, you expect amenities that align with that.
