Have experienced comfortable and pleasant stays at the Melia Hotels in Spain, and this hotel was no exception. Rooms are clean and spacious (for European hotels), the bathroom was roomy, bed linen and towels were classic and comfortable, no noise issues, and there was even a Nespresso machine in the room! Breakfast was excellent - not only was there a lot of variety, but food was very fresh and there were a lot of fresh, healthy options. Wanted to give 4 1/2 stars instead of 4 (no option to do that) mainly because some reception staff were a little dismissive or curt; and requested an extra towel and was categorically told it would not be possible. Seemed odd that a simple request like this was denied. First time this has happened. Hotel is a little dated but looks like there have been some updates made in certain parts, and it was clean. Some nice stores and restaurants are easily accessible by car, taxi, or ride share. Hotel has an airport shuttle that was on time and very accessible.
