Perfect location! Although this hotel is central and has great access to shops, restaurants and several metro stations it was also very quiet so we had a good nights sleep. We arrived late on a Monday night and the receptionist recommended a few nearby restaurants which would still be open. Over the next few days we tried them all and they were all really good and reasonably priced. The room itself and the bathroom were clean and looked like they had been freshly decorated. The room we had had a balcony and although the weather wasn't quite good enough for sunbathing I could see it being a pleasant place to sit on a warm summer's evening. I would recommend the hotel and the area if visiting Madrid.

Good hotel and great location
A great hotel and a good location. It was an easy walk to a lot of places ls including the hop on hop off bus. If it’s your thing, order a whisky sour at the bar. The bartender there does a great job.

We had an outstanding stay at Motel One Madrid. The staff were outstanding from the moment we walked into the hotel. The room was perfect—great AC, great size, great all around. The house cleaning staff were the best…very understanding to our needs and helped me with my Spanish and vice versa. There is a great neighborhood associated with the motel, along with numerous restaurants to choose from, a local grocery and many close attractions. It was a wonderful stay of 10 days. Simple and efficient with all the necessary trappings; plus it is well located just off Plaza Espana. It's a very easy walk to Grand Via and most places in the center, or an easy rideshare or subway ride away. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean, though kettles/coffee machines are absent. Staff quite friendly and helpful. Overall a very good stay.

In general the hotel offers the acceptable Motel One standards, the room size and design comparably better than other Motel One hotels I have stayed. However, the hotel has a serious smell problem, once you walk into the lobby you are face to face with a pungent sewage smell at most times. Same goes for the toilet, from time to time you have urine smell in the toilet. This is not pleasant at all.
