Based in a block of apartments, the common areas are well-kept if traditional looking, but once you get into the suites themselves, it's like stepping forward in time, in terms of decor. The location is great for the main train station, most places are walkable and if you don't fancy that, the metro is nearby.

For the price, the room is a little small but has decent shower space, kettle and fridge. No place to sit though except for some stairs. Limited place to hang clothes too. Very clean and quiet. A bit far from the main attractions but very close to the main train station.

Pros: The accommodations are comfortable and safe. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel is very close to the train station and in the perfect spot to walk to the museums (the Reina Sofia Museum is just behind the building), Parque Buen Retiro, botanical garden, and lots of restaurants. The Steak Burger restaurant in the same building as the hotel has very good food. Minor Cons: The building really isn’t hard to find, but it doesn’t look like a hotel & isn’t very well marked so it can be confusing at first. It’s really an apartment building that happens to have a small hotel with a few rooms on the 3rd floor of the building. Fortunately, we got helpful instructions from the staff through both Expedia communications and WhatsApp chats. Our room had a somewhat musty smell whenever we closed the window, so we kept our window open whenever we were in the room. The noise from the street was loud at times, but it didn’t bother us.
