Great experience in the hotel. Front desk staff were top notch and very helpful. The reason for the reduced rating is our experience in the hotel bar. Very rude bartender. He was obviously busy but didn’t need to slam a menu down in front of us and all but tell us he was too busy for us. This is, remember, a 5* hotel we are in. We left and didn’t return to any dining options at the property. I told the front desk staff but never heard anything back. Great location, near the Palace Hotel. Very walkable and safe. Room was lovely.

Everything about short 3-night stay here was perfect, from the staff, to the facility, to the location. The only thing we didn’t like was that our room had a step down to the sitting area and that step was close enough to the foot of the bed that it could be dangerous if you needed to get up in the middle of the night. That said, we would definitely stay here again.

We were at this hotel during the power outage. We got back from a site seeing tour to find that the hotel had power and were serving a limited menu to hotel guests. All the other restaurants in Madrid were closed. We were impressed and fortunate. They really take care of their guests. All staff were excellent and helpful. The location is ideal. I highly recommend this hotel.

Soundproofing Terrible.

Everything was very good except for the sound proofing of the room which was absolutely terrible. It sounded like the people in the next room were in the same room with me. You could here absolutely everything!
