It was a good stay if your looking for the cheapest option in central Manchester Picadilly. The staff are super friendly and warm, the room was cleaned however the temperature rheoighout was overall on the higher side for the room. Their was no option to turn it down but it wasnt too bad. Only downside was the bar was closed the entire time we were their even though they were advertising that the bar would be open till 2 am but we decided to go out instead.
I woulf definatley recommend this hotel for anyone and everyone who wants to save a bit more money on a trip and to let others know that if you plan on booking, try booking in the morning as rates are much cheaper than midday!
I would never stay here again, because I’ve never had to pay city tax to stay in Manchester in my life so that was new to me also my room was baking hot, I didn’t have a window room so which wasn’t nice at all and no air conditioning either also the layout of the room meant there was no plugs available next to my bed so I couldn’t charge my phone next to me really inconvenient.
Really did not have a good stay here.
The guests prior to me booking in (an elderly couple) was arguing and not allowed to check in because they did not have both their IDs, when myself and my partner checked in the receptionists were rude from the get go.
The room was like a sauna, shower didn’t work nor did the light so it was a very dim room. We paid to upgrade to a window room and it was just too hot.
The room with the window was much cooler but there was noise alllll night from the bar outside.
Would never stay here again. Was not worth the £107 for a hotel with no breakfast. Wish I booked the Hilton now.
It is a great hotel, clean, friendly staff. The only problem we had is that we booked a room without windows and it was so hot even with 2 fans on. It was difficult to sleep we will stay here again but we will get a room with a window.
Check in was not great, seemed to list all that is wrong with the place so not a good welcome.
I booked the stay took Id as requested but my wife was challenged for id as well not sure why if I was the name on the booking.
We were only here one night so booked internal room with now window, big mistake, the room was so hot it was almost unbearable, the fan supplied did little but push hot air around, it was a warm spring day but not hot outside, I would hate to think how uncomfortable these rooms are in the summer.
After reading the reviews i was dreading coming to this hotel, but were pleasantly surprised. The room was a decent size and clean, beds comfortable, bathroom had bath with overhead shower. Breakfast great. The staff work tirelessly unfortunately the guests let it down. Strong smell of weed all the way round the 4th floor. All in all hotel nice and staff lovely.
Easy to find, close to the train, tram and bus routes. Great for people who suffer from mobility issues or those who needs to be close to town shopping centre. The staff at the accommodation were absolutely phenomenal. I at the minute have extra mobility problems and the staff was amazing at helped me in every way possible. Thank you! Obviously the building was an old building but the interior was exceptional and the room was welcoming, comfortable and most of all safe. Check in was straight forward and simple and has an adjoining bar. Fantastic for all ages.
No air conditioning left with fan that just recycled hot air controls to air con faulty shower hose leaking key card constantly not working you get what you pay for
Excellent value for money, incredibly spacious room and the bed was super comfortable.
Staff were efficient to check me in and out, the only minor issue was that there was more than one occasion where my friend who was not staying was put under scrutiny. I’m sure this is just for the purposes of keeping customers safe.
Loved the mural on my wall in the bedroom and the building itself is helpfully close to all amenities.
