The hotel was clean, the staff were very polite and friendly. The hotel is very well situated for everything. I would stay there again.

Excellent Service and Condition

This hotel is right next to China Town and offers a quick walk to most attractions within Manchester; I went to some museums and a few restaurants, and most were less than 20 minutes to walk to. The staff was friendly and answered all of my questions. Also, the bar offers drinks 24/7 AND has a 24/7 pizza service! The bathroom was a bit small, but as a solo traveler I wasn’t too concerned. Overall cleanliness was very high. I paid the extra 20 to get to check out at 5pm instead of noon, and they also helped me register as a free member so that I could check in early. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I hope I get to come back! Just keep in mind that if you are using GPS it may direct you to the back entrance in an open alleyway. You need to loop around the building so that you are on the opposite side on the street, and you’ll see signs for the main entrance. The back entrance is only accessible if you have a key card.

Chaotic Check in

Check is was chaotic, we weren't greeted which I found irritating and then the person checking us in couldn't find our reservation. A colleague managed to find it and the first person then had a personal call and just walked away. I had chosen to pay on arrival, but yet I was told the room had already been paid for. Days later I see that it has been taken from my bank account, but I don't recall agreeing to this. A payment on arrival is different from debiting my card without my consent several days later. The room was tired, the bed was hard. Good points: great location, 12pm check out, quiet

Great budget hotel

I was really impressed with this hotel. I travel a lot for business and haven't stayed at an IBIS for years. I was really surprised with how good this hotel is. The room was comfy, nice staff and great breakfast. Only thing to note - you can only get discounted car parking if you prebook. Other than that, this was a great stay.

Clean and cheerful

Nice friendly staff, the rooms are comfortable and clean, it’s cheap and cheerful, ideally situated for China town, Canal St, Peter St is just around the corner, shops are a short walk. They have a lovely little bar should you want a drink in the hotel
