Basic hotel with limited services. Very limited interaction with Staff although Cleaning staff were friendly. WiFi not very strong and noises from corridors very noticeable.

I feel bad about this review because it’s a great location the cleaner was superb and staff cheery but the sound proofing in the rooms is dreadful the staff even say this at check in. “Can I have a quiet room please” response “it’s a hotel sorry it gets noisy nothing I can do about” so if your a light sleeper pack ear plugs you’ll need them. Ps I would stay again.

Whoever the gentleman that was working in the late evening of the 30th of January is an amazing person. I had rolled my ankle getting off the bus and was in desperate need of first aid and the man was so kind and offered me anything from the first aid as well as a bucket of ice. The check in staff on the 29th were also amazing very kind.

Nice staff, coldest hotel ive ever stayed in

The staff were friendly and i was initially happy to pay extra for early check in. We were not warned that the heating was not working amd the only source of heat would be a small oil radiator in our rooms! Coupled with a thin duvet, which usually wouldn't concern me, meant waking up frequently through the night freezing, my friend sleeping fully clothed

I stayed at Ibis Styles Portland Manchester from 24th-26th January 2025 with my partner to celebrate her birthday, and unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. Before our arrival, we were informed via message that the parking discounts and availability we had initially been offered were no longer applicable. This last-minute change caused significant inconvenience, additional cost, and unnecessary stress to the start of our stay. Additionally, the room itself was disappointing. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, old, and hard, leading us to purchase our own duvet, duvet covers, and pillows to improve the quality of sleep. The provided bedding was inadequate, with only one flattened pillow each and a thin duvet. We asked for extra bedding but were told only one pillow could be provided. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, with hairs left in the shower, which was very disappointing. Furthermore, the room was listed as having a sofa, but instead, there was just a small footstool, which did not meet our expectations. Overall, the lack of attention to detail, poor comfort, and changes to advertised services made for an unpleasant stay. I would not recommend this hotel, as it did not offer the level of service or quality promised.

Have to use your room card to call lift on ground floor-good for security but a bit of a faff. Bedroom and bathroom were clean but note on thermostat said filter needed changing and it looked black. I didn't need towels or bed changing but think rooms could be checked to see if milk and teabags etc need topping up. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of cereals, fruit, cheese, ham. Bacon, sausage, scrambled egg and hash browns were hot and replenished quickly unlike alot of places
