Cute but not clean
The check in clerk was lovely and very helpful. They kept our bags for us while we waited to check in. We were early and waited a couple of hours then they let us check in early. There was plenty of comfy seating in the lobby. Very cute and close to restaurants. We only stayed one night but ran out of toilet paper the first evening with no extra in the room. There was only one tissue in the tissue box as well. The room had not been cleaned thoroughly, there was an EXTREMELY gross towel covered in something red/orange crusty in one of the drawers that had been left by a previous customer. There was a crumpled tissue shoved into the peephole. The restaurant was not open as advertised (all over the hotel) and when we inquired about food were met with some hostility as they said “We’re not open sometimes because not enough people come here.” The hair dryer did not work. Walls were very thin and could hear everything. Overall a fine stay but not sure I’d go back because of the cleanliness issue

Convenient location close to train and tram stations. Staff very helpful, room clean a tidy as was whole hotel, good selection for breakfast, would stay again

A pleasant stay
A slow check-in and staff could have been friendlier. The night manager was excellent and very helpful. The reception area was comfortable as were the beds and pillows. The main areas of the hotel were clean and well kept.

It was fine
The hotel with was well located near to Deansgate train station, opposite Bridgewater hall. Upon arrival we were required to wait what felt like a really long time to check in, but once greeted the process was polite and efficient. The hotel downstairs appears modern and well maintained, the rooms and upper floors appear tired. The room was comfortable enough, but the decor needs some attention. The bed was comfortable, but the shower was pretty poor and pressure was week. The room was quiet as we were at the back of the building and it overlooked the canal. Overall I would say that if the Travelodge/Premier Inn is cheaper then stay there, this hotel is no better than the budget offering.

Good room, good location
Good location for O2 ritz and the Oxford Road area, deaf institute and academy. Great couple old time pubs close by, and modern stuff lower down. Hotel bar is not worth a look, rooms great and clean. Cleaning staff windergy. Good breakfast (though could do with couple more staff to replenish cups and bowls etc and clear tables quicker). Decent place if you book early enough to get it at an uninflated price

Great base for centre of manchester
Hotel was clean and in fairly good condition and staff were pleasant. Room was warm in evening but really cold during nt. we asked for extra bedding for the next nt and were provided with a small electric heater but we didn’t feel happy having that on during nt. please provide extra bedding - other than that it was ideal!

We stayed at the Leonardo Manchester Picadilly last year and enjoyed our stay so decided to book the Manchester Central hotel this year for our stay. Unfortunately we didnt feel the standards were matched. The central heating was not working in the room we had for our first night. We were told no other rooms were available so were given an electrical heater in place. The heater did absolutely nothing so our room was freezing the whole night. We spoke to the hotel the following morning to see what could be done as we booked for 2 nights and couldnt stay in that room another night. Carolyn on reception was extemely helpful and managed to move us to another room. Unfortunately though the shower was not working properly in this room and the bathroom was dirty. We spent most of our time out of the hotel so we couldnt be bothered to ask to move again but we definitely will not be staying at the hotel again. Helpful staff but the hotel is definitely not to standard.
