Check-in time is 3:00. We checked out of our previous hotel at noon and arrived at the hotel shortly after 1:00. We asked if we could check-in earlier than 3:00. The response was yes as long as the room was ready. The room was ready and check-in was completed at 1:30. Shortly after entering the room, we received a call informing us that we needed to pay an 800 peso cash deposit. Having found this to be normal at other hotels and car rentals I paid the deposit. When we checked out we were told the "deposit" was being kept as the fee for checking in early. This was not mentioned when we checked in and not when I paid the deposit.
The room was clean and comfortable.
We came early to check n they said Expedia did not confirm our room n we could not get a refund for the family suite we booked via Expedia back in January. We settled for a smaller lesser room n staff was very apologetic but then we would like z refund for the lesser room difference. I expected Expedia to take care of this bc we prepaid n Expedia sent me a confirmation but Expedia did not do their part in confirming with the hotel.
We have a couple of concerns : First is the bathroom, it is clean but… it’s smells urine (pee).
Second: is the beddings. When guests leaves… the bed MUST BE STRIPPED and replaced with a fresh sheets. BUT I guessed not happening in this hotel.
