Weekend Hotel Stay at BGC
We chose this property for its location. Very convenient.
However, improvements are needed. Upon check-in, the wrong set of luggage was initially sent to our room. No big deal.
Our room was next to Residential units where several paper notices had been left by the doors, cluttering the floor of the hallway and in front of our room. Wouldn't it be better just to leave a phone message with the unit owners that they have notices which they can pick up at the concierge?
Unless you're arriving / leaving at very early / late in the day, the elevators can get really crowded and the wait can be significantly long.
One thing that really needs attention is the condition of the property. Our room smelled unpleasant & musty. Housekeeping came by to spray some kind of freshener but did little to improve the air quality. The drapes need washing and had holes. Also in our suite was a glass dining table. But no dining chairs. The shower had a slow drain.The sink had no stopper. USB outlets would have been nice as well.
On a positive note: the staff was fantastic. Service was impeccable.
