Savoy Hotel Manila is not family-friendly. During my 3-night stay with my baby, I encountered numerous issues. The hotel charges 50 Pesos (about $1) for every 500 grams of food heated in their microwave, an unusual fee I haven’t seen elsewhere. The check-in process was also frustrating, with long queues and staff incorrectly denying that my payment covered the breakfast buffet until Expedia intervened. The breakfast buffet experience was disappointing, with excessive scrutiny and a rude reminder about the buffet hours. Additionally, I found a strand of hair in the fried milkfish, and the manager’s response was dismissive. On our third day, we were forced to move from a suitable table to accommodate other guests, despite there being no reserved sign on our table. The lobby was chaotic, with staff from a marketing booth eavesdropping on our conversations and displaying rude behavior. Given these issues, I question why Expedia partners with Savoy Hotel Manila and would not recommend it, particularly for families with children.

The rooms are clean and spacious enough. Housekeeping was very responsive. Reception was rather difficult to reach. I had to request a table for working as the room didn't have one and I was on a business trip. Nice gym, but usually no one there to assist you if you needed some help or had questions.

Staff were very polite and helpful. Property is, however, definitely not 4-star. Needs deeper cleaning IMO. Okay for a very short stay, since close to the airport. However, there wouldn't be much to do around there during a longer stay.

The room safe didn't work. The over charged for the buffet breakfast, about $16 per person. We had to flag down a staff member to get water refilled and our bill, and they didn't come across as very friendly. The pool was nice. We had higher expectations.
