Very helpful and friendly staff, and the property itself is an incredibly nostalgic experience for those who adore older hotels. The complimentary breakfasts are straight out of the 80s/90s, plenty of choices including red hot dogs and breakfast classics like tapa (tough, not recommended) and tocino (cooked crispy, delicious).
Reviews that mention mold are on point, unfortunately, particularly visible in shower grout/sealant. Rooms are otherwise appropriately maintained. TV in my room had a defective screen with bizarre scan lines, but I never used it so not a huge deal.
Prospective guests should be aware of the Greenbelt mall renovations taking place right across the street. Extremely noisy demolition work throughout my stay that lasted anywhere between 8am and 10pm (occasionally past midnight when the crew thought they could get away with "quieter” work on interior parts of the mall).
Not the worst if you're mainly using the room for sleep, but unbearable if planning to sleep in or stay in your room. Charter House should consider soundproofing options/better windows that don't rattle, especially since the Greenbelt project is supposed to continue for years.
Super convenient location, though, hard to complain for the price. A 7-11 next door for snacks or small purchases, a bank on the right if required. Again, great staff, especially housekeeping who located sheets to help with my skin allergies/fragrance sensitivities. Just maybe bring some very good earplugs.
