The front desk person Rom told me he did not speak english very well when I gave him my information. He then proceed to try to tell me in his broken english that I only booked one room. When I showed him my receipt/reservation he still said I only had one room booked. I've never had a difficult time checking in when I book through hotels.com. It was very frustrating after a long drive. I asked to speak to a manager which he said he wouldn't be here until tomorrow. I asked if there was someone that spoke better english to explain my reservation. He said no. He continued to make me stand there while I tried to explain to him that I already paid for the rooms. I even called 3 weeks prior to confirm they got my reservation, which they confirmed they did. Mean while the guest behind me are waiting patiently while I show him repeatedly my reservation. Now others are starting to come in. I felt embarrassed for even having to re explain that the reservation was already paid for. The whole facility needed some major up keep and maintenence. I will say the room was clean regardless of the out dated appearance of the amenities.

The views of the lake were great, however the lack of maintenance to the property was quite noticeable. Even a simple coat of paint and updated carpeting would have dramatically improved the look of the hotel. Landscaping would have helped, as well.

Advertised a balcony, which appeared to look over the water, but it was over the parking lot and noisy highway. Hotels .com rated this much higher than it should have been. The a/c unit was loud and very dirty-needs to be cleaned. Never stayed in a hotel that didn’t use white sheets.

We enjoyed this hotel. The diner next to it was great and affordable. They had the best rueban sandwich. The owners of this hotel were super nice. They don't have heat on the bottom floor and we didn't know this. The owner or manager gave us a space heater that worked well! It was a nice quiet place.

Really nice lodging at this hotel. Very warm and welcoming front desk. Our room was spacious and spotless. Nice small fridge & microwave. Great pool & hot tub. Wifi was only OK but beach was secluded and beautiful. Restaurant next door. Would definitely stay here again.

Older motel. Decent price. Has its own Lake Michigan beach-very cool. Diner next door is good and cheap, popular with locals. Wife did not like the room. Bed was a double,not queen-wife said her half was damp and put a towel over the sheet. Bathtub had rust stain at drain. Tile on bathroom floor was cracked.

The tub was not cleaned and the room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The hotel allows people to smoke immediately outside the rooms so if any of the neighbors smoke you get the second hand smoke.
