Don’t bother

Arrived to check in and had to wait over 15min for someone to arrive at desk. Even called the number provided via email to call then found out “we did not have a reservation because our credit card did not go through and the hotel attempted to inform us but were not able to contact us.” They sent us multiple emails welcoming us so not getting a hold of us excuse was bogus. Property looked tired, front desk women was rude. They claimed to not have any rooms left though online said they did. I believe the rate we booked was lower than what they thought they could get. We went down the street to Marriot Courtyard and had a wonderful stay for the same price.

The rooms were clean and nice. The Tiki bar was nice, and Jamie, the bar tender was friendly and polite. The office would give us some beach chairs, to take to a local beach, and bikes, tennis equipment and more. Now the not nice. The pool didn't open until our last night. They are under remodel. I ordered a resort view room, yet our view was a drainage ditch, Highway 1 and Home Depot. Part of the room lost power in the night, not charging our phones. We went to use the only lamp, and in the darkness - we tried the only other light, it didn't work We noticed it wasn't plugged in once daylight came. The sliding glass door to the deck had the handle on backwards, leaving me locked outside until my husband returned. I just left feeling we paid too much. We would not go back.

They are in the midst of renovation. Room was newly decorated but not enough light. They brought us an extra lamp. Breakfast room needs more work. Attentive to keeping food filled.

The property was nice but they were doing pool renovations so couldn’t use the pool at all and had to drive down the road to use another hotels pool or go to the beach. Also I checked their official site and it said it gave military discount. when I asked about it they said they didn’t offer that. I pulled it up on their site and showed them and was told I would get a call from I assume the manager about it but never received a call. If it’s something that has to be booked through their site fine but nothing states that. Besides the no pool at the time and the no military discount it was a great place to stay. I do plan on staying there again possibly next time I’m in marathon. By then they shouldn’t be doing any pool renovations. The military discount isn’t a deal breaker, just wanted an explanation and never received one.

The only negative thing was after booking the room we found out there was a $50 per day resort fee. It included a basic breakfast, 2 bottles of water each day and I think a couple of other things. Only received 2 bottles of water for our complete stay, also we had to ask for coffee in our room.

Meh!

Overall, our experience was good, and the service was pleasant. However, we did encounter a few issues. When we arrived for check-in, there was no one at the front desk. Despite knocking and calling out, no one responded. We ended up waiting at least 25 minutes until we finally discovered and pressed a poorly marked button, which then brought someone out. Additionally, the pool appears to need maintenance, as it looks somewhat neglected. The dock area is lovely, but it would have been much better if there had been staff available at the bar, as no one was there to assist us. Honestly, it wasn't bad, but I did find it a bit pricey considering the hotel's condition. I think I would have paid the same amount, probably at a nearby hotel that was in better condition. The breakfast was very disappointing. It would be a great improvement if you considered partnering with a nearby restaurant to provide better-quality options. Currently, the food offered is frozen, which is neither healthy nor appetizing.

Every one was amazing and the place was great. Nice breakfast. Loaned us chairs, beach towels and cooler and umbrella and fishing pole. was an amazing place to stay.

Don’t plan to have breakfast, very disappointed in the offerings. The rooms are standard hotel rooms, safe, clean, need more light in the rooms. The pool area does not offer towels, and the property overall is run down compared to how it is represented online.

Pretty Nice property overall, Kids enjoyed the heated pool and the tennis/pickleball courts. The Free Breakfast could really use an improvement. Many fellow residents were complaining/joking about the Free Breakfast. Beer and wine bar at the pier had wonderful staff and attitude. we enjoyed our stay, and it is within driving proximity of many activities. Enjoyed the overall atmosphere of residents and renters.

We love the Banana Bay Resort and keep returning year after year. The staff is very friendly and always responsive! The resort is clean, peaceful, and I so enjoyed walking through the property early in the morning and evening. The hammocks near the tiki bar at the back of the property were a nice touch. We would gather here at sunset which was very relaxing. We also appreciated the complimentary breakfast, which was a nice touch, but I it would be nice if they could add a little variety to the breakfast items. After speaking to one of the employees, apparently the pool will have a much needed overhaul beginning in April 2025. Overall, we had an amazing stay, and I highly recommend this resort to family and friends. We will definitely be returning!
