Falling in quality!

The Hampton Inn Marathon - Florida Keys offers a well-located option, though its consistent quality has become a concern. My recent stay from June 5th to June 6th revealed a noticeable decline compared to prior visits. While the property still provides essential amenities such as complimentary hot breakfast, an outdoor pool with a tiki bar, and a fitness center, the overall cleanliness and quality have unfortunately deteriorated. Specific issues noted include a general lack of cleanliness, outdated bathroom fixtures (e.g., shower curtains), and a noticeable need for refurbishment, particularly regarding paint and general upkeep. This decline in quality is disheartening for a property that once met higher standards. For those seeking efficiency and quality in their travel, it is important to be aware of these current inconsistencies. While the location remains advantageous for exploring Marathon, including nearby fishing charters, Sombrero Beach, and the Dolphin Research Center, the hotel's diminishing quality and cleanliness may impact the guest experience.

I had a good stay with my family. We enjoyed the wildlife roaming the area. Very beautiful scenery. Staff was friendly and the food was good. Perfect location, across the street is Fat Deer Park and the water view is breathtaking. When the sun is setting you get the perfect view of the Sunset. I had a good stay.

Great location! Car parking in front of room was convenient. They have a washing machine and a dryer to use. The pool area is nice and has a ping pong table. Breakfast was great and had a lot of options to choose from.

I requested a second floor room when I made the reservation. I told the clerk when we checked in I wanted a second floor room because the previous year people were stomping around above us late into the night. He said ok and supposedly got us a quiet second floor room. It was also very hard to understand the clerk's English. We got up on the second floor and learned he had given us room keys for first floor. We were tired and just went ahead and settled in the first floor. I went back to the desk later because the Wi fi was not working. I told him that he gave us a first floor room. He was totally surprised and kept asking me my name and when we checked in like he didn't remember me. I just said don't worry about it , and he helped with the Wi fi. He was courteous and helpful, but he messed up and is hard to understand.

My room smelled like humidity. The rug wasn’t very clean. The hotel needs a little TLC. Pictures online are much better than the real thing.
