Bad Customer Service Marred the Visit

The stay itself was great, room was clean and comfortable, no problems with shower or sink drains, A/C worked. Evening staff (a gentleman) was incredibly pleasant even gave food suggestions. However morning staff (a woman) was HORRIBLY unhelpful, unpleasant and almost made me wanting to cancel my entire stay. We arrived at 230pm and I understand that it was not check-in time; but she didn't even bother to check if at least one room was available so that we could freshen up before going to a show. She did not even touch her computer and simply told me to come back at 4pm.

Staff was nice, but would not stay again. Not a big fan of sharing the parking lot with a gas station. Also, TV was tiny (and I’m really not picky about that, but…this was ridiculous. Remote would only turn TV on and off (was stuck on ESPN). Breakfast was yogurt, bananas, mandarins, and coffee. They might want to just list it as coffee/snacks.

Nice place, hotel name sign was down when I arrived in the dark could not tell if I was in the right place, I had to call office...clean hotel, helpful staff, breakfast was not good.

The room was very comfortable and the area didn’t feel dangerous or uncomfortable. It was a little bit confusing to figure out where to check in, but after that I had no problems. Some people don’t like that it was next to a gas station, but I thought it was really convenient!

Having a 24/7 mart & gas station right next to the hotel was such a bonus! I would only say it was initially difficult to find the main lobby/check-in entrance, but there's really friendly staff to help out as well. Overall great option for visiting Monterey area (the main Aquarium is only about 20min drive away for example), without the high price tag of other places! Clean, quiet & safe.
