No USBs

Historic hotel was clean and comfortable, but a bit too historic. There were no USB outlets of any kind and few electrical outlets which limited the ability to charge various electronic devices.

Not perfect this time

The staff was fantastic as aways. Only complaint was that the AC fan in my room was so loud that I couldn't sleep. Needed to stay 1 more night and asked for different room which was great

it has a fantastic location one minute walk to the Lincoln theater. Dinner options were quick and easy 3 to 4 restaurants within 10 steps of this hotel.

Great old “grand” hotel. We loved the room, hotel, and staff. We had a good time at the bar. We ate Mcdoogles downtime and it was a fun time. Make sure you have a charger. No USB charging but that’s expected with the old hotel feel. Everything was clean and the room was good and cool. The bed was comfortable. We will definitely come back and stay in the fall. Motorcycle parking friendly too…

This was amazing old hotel with a ton of history. It is in walking distance to a ton of shops and restaurants and in close proximity to multiple state parks and recreational areas. The staff was extremely accommodating with any request I had. Also, with its close proximity to US81, it makes for a great place to stay. I would highly recommend this location for a stay. Cheers!

Not handicap friendly

This is a beautiful old hotel, but it must be stated that this hotel is not handicap friendly hotel. If you have mobility issues i would not recommend staying here. The hotel sits on a street on an incline, but what's worse are the steps you're forced to climb to check in and get to your room. You literally have to lug your luggage up a flight of stairs. It was impossible for me. The front desk person serves as check in and bell hop. The beds and continental breakfast were underwhelming considering the room cost and high ratings. I personally would never stay here again.

Old building 1927 was ok = Carpet in halls dirty and shows lots of wear. Mattress was not comfortable, need to modify back entrance with a covered easy access handicap ramp. Need to let people know when reviewing rooms about access.

We loved the vibe of this historic hotel and its Swamp Fox Bar. We loved the nearby niche places to eat - The Wooden Pickle, Macado’s (pronounced macka-doos), and Sister’s Cafe. We were only in town for the weekend, but will stay there again for more sight seeing, dining, etc.
