We had a pleasant stay overall, especially considering the price. The room was clean, spacious, and included a large kitchenette, and the pool was clean and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. That said, the resort itself appears to be in need of significant maintenance. There were visible cracks, humidity damage, overgrown landscaping, exposed air-conditioning units, and a general feeling that upkeep has been deferred for some time. One of the restaurants had been damaged by a fire a couple of months ago and was still closed, which may explain some of the current condition. There was only one small place to get food or drinks, and it seemed understaffed and a bit overpriced. It felt like the property may be going through a transition, or that investment in maintenance has been limited. If you're looking for a clean, affordable place to stay, it can still be a good value, but don't expect a polished, resort-style experience.
