I would not recommend this motel as long as the bridge to Munising is under repair. It feels very remote because there are no restaurants in the area. WITH THE BRIDGE BLOCKED IT'S A 20 MINUTE DRIVE TO MUNISING. I advise to check the state of the road closure before booking.

I liked that there was so much outdoor seating for breakfast along the lakeshore. Everything was very nice. The room was expensive for what it was but I liked the property.

Be a Yooper in Comfort!

The entire staff were kind, professional, welcoming and helpful. The pet friendly rooms were clean and mine offered a beautiful view of the lake from the balcony. The morning breakfast offered a well stocked variety of hot food, cereals, fruit and dairy. Also non dairy and gluten free. Two disappointments were the thin and frayed bath towels and NO safety bars in the bath. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and I will stay there again.

Great location, beautiful grounds

Beautiful hotel on the shores of Lake superior. The rooms that face the lake have balconies. We had a room to the other side. We must’ve been one of the last people to check in because the room we got was right near the elevator, and the elevator wall was literally in our room, I was sleeping 3 feet from the elevator shaft. I know this is probably not an issue for the other rooms but just be aware. Despite insulation, we could hear that elevator coming up and down late at night and early in the morning. Despite all that, we had a great experience, and the front desk were very accommodating to our wishes. Breakfast is good with lots of options and you can sit and eat by the lake. They have a cute little gift shop be aware that currently, September 2025, the direct road from the hotel to the center on Munising is closed, making a 3 min drive into about 11 min.

Great hotel with bay view and access. The road construction blocked the short access to the town and have to detour for 8+minutes but also helped on traffic in the parking lot side of the rooms.
