Our stay was fine after we switched rooms because the first bed was horrible - mattress was unacceptable and every time you sat, laid, or moved on it a sound like a steel drum occurred. The next room’s mattress and bed frame noise was better, but you would occasionally get the steel drum noise. The noise happens because the bed frame is made from large pieces of sheet metal - what a terrible design. Everything else about the hotel and stay was ok.

The property is clean, staff friendly and helpful. Very dog friendly with a big area for digs to run. Some of yhe walkways to the rooms need attention. Overall it was a good place to stay for our visit to Musining.

Good hotel, good location.

Nice clean hotel. Continental breakfast was very basic: no healthy/low sugar&carb options. The bathroom was a little dated but very clean. Furniture, carpet and bedspread look like they were recently updated.

Spent 3 nights here while enjoying the PR area. The good: Housekeeping was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy. Daytime Front desk staff were helpful. One of our rooms had an AC that wouldn’t adjust temp. Staff accommodated a move to a different room on the ground floor the following day. Breakfast was a standard continental. Staff kept it well stocked. The bad: The property itself is dated. The second floor decking has all-weather carpet that is ripped and loose in places and the floor feels like it is rotting. The older members in my party felt unsafe while walking it. The rooms look like they have had some updating, but the AC units are old, and the lighting is poor. We had a very large earwig in our bathroom.

Overall the stay was OK. The lady at the front desk was nice during check in, explained everything nicely. Arrived to the room to find it warm but smelling clean. Turned on the wall unit in the bedroom and it cooled down a bit, however I went to look out the window and found it would not close and latch properly. Went to the bathroom and noticed mold all along the top part of the wall over the shower and toilet. Also noticed the exhaust fan did not work. Bed was comfortable but sat on a metal frame that made a loud clank every time I got up or sat back down, as well as sometimes when rolling over. Breakfast was delicious and included waffles!

Overall, it wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't stay here again. The front desk and service staff were friendly and helpful, but the entire hotel had a very rustic, backwoods vibe. My room apeared clean, but things like the mattress, doors, tub, toilet, tile, and bathroom caulking were so worn out or outdated that the room could never feel truly welcoming to me. Also, the pictures and description on Expedia clearly advertised a pool and hot tub -- in fact, this is the reason why I chose this hotel over another option. However, I realized only after I checked in that the entire pool house was closed, to the point that the windows and doors had been covered up. That isn't a temporary, unforeseen problem with the pool house -- that's a long-term closure that should have been clearly communicated before I had ever booked the room.

The room was not overly dirty. But the smell, was horrible! I understand when I’m traveling with a dog I’m not getting the best room. Unfortunately I’m paying the same as everyone else and getting a way lesser room. I get that. But come on! The smell of urine on the carpet was so horrible!! My dog is a 9 pound, non shedding animal. Just makes me mad when I’m paying the same and getting literally a disgusting smelling room where I can see the urine stains. Halls of the hotel were pretty gross too. Staff was friendly was our only upside.
