Our small group of 3 female friends booked a 3 night stay here based on the photos and other online reviews.
However we felt misled, as it was an untidy and dirty Riad, with dirty floors throughout and piled up stuff behind curtained areas.
We were not shown around on arrival so made our own way upstairs to have a look at the roof terrace. Open bedroom doors en route, showed towels and bedding all over the floors.
The roof terrace had a very long old string of celebration balloons that had clearly been there for weeks (mostly shrivelled up), which showed just how little things were cared for.
The entrance reception area was 2 large tables covered in a plastic tablecloths.
Our bedroom door (Ivory room) room key was a tiny 2cm padlock and 1cm key.
My friend booked a ‘junior suite’ and got the Paris room which looked like a dark cell, was warm and without a fridge. There was no bottled water available in the rooms. The towels on our bed looked like they were not clean and had not been washed (just sprayed with something), the threadbare rugs looked dirty.
Whilst there, we heard that another guest was ill in bed with some kind of with some kind of food bug whilst we were there. She had been stuck there bed bound for 2 days.
We decided to find alternative accomodation instead, and so left and checked out the same day without unpacking.
It feels sad to leave this review, as we were so excited about our Moroccan trip and this first impression changed everything.
