I loved the fact that coffee was available all night long in the lobby and the daily breakfast was a plus. The ladies in the breakfast area were so sweet. One recommendation would be to have a multi juice station as the only juice available was orange juice. And even a skim milk offering would be great! The hotel had all amenities and even a heated indoor pool. There is a restaurant attached to the lobby, not too bad as a quick choice and close proximity!

Like the breakfast area and that there is a restaurant on site. Quality of breakfast food was fine. Condition of rooms was very poor. Sloppy caulking on tub, rusty drains, lotion dispenser falling off wall, stained bed linens, several outlets didn't work, and carpet in hallways dirty and very worn. Elevator floor was dirty our entire visit. Ceiling above the bed was poorly patched and showing brown stains indicating additional leaking. Unhelpful and uninterested front desk staff. Pool out of service entire visit with promises it would be operational "tomorrow" yet was not. AC in rooms works well and easy to control. Overall, cannot recommend. The lobby is attractive, but the rooms are definitely not up to minimum functional or cleanliness standards. I did not take pictures because I was just going to forget about the experience and move on, but after some thought, I decided to share our experience so someone else can avoid having the same issues we had. We travel to Harpers Ferry frequently but will not stay here again.

An average hotel, good value for the price. We were unlucky to be there when temperature outside was 70 and much colder at night, so A/C was not turning on automatically and air was heavy and carpet smelled bad. But, i guess, it is a problem for any carpeted hotels in such temperature.

Old rundown hotel - beware before you book

The hotel is located right on the side of the highway. It was old and rundown and the room was outdated and there were fruit flies all over. The bathroom was old and there were no bars of soap or body wash. I would not stay at a Clarion hotel again.

Not worth the money!. I stayed for 1 night and that was more that I would. It was a last minute booking and I didn't have many options. Don't stay here unless you really want to. This property has not been maintained for ages it looks like. You don't get the right feel the moment you enter. Possibly because of the worn out carpet all across. Dingy lifts. Out of stock toiletries. Civil issues such as inconvenient tap fitting leaving no space for hand wash.

Nearly perfect!

Everything was great, just one suggestion: when you serve scrambled eggs or omelets at breakfast, change them out when they have been out a while. They should be tender, not chewy. I also suggest you might add another waffle-maker, because it is so popular that people were standing in line!

Decent enough hotel for the price, close to Harper's Ferry (can walk it via a trail at the back of the property without having to walk the road). Bit dated inside and lower floor corridor very dark; wifi needs improving as the signal was poor; needs soap in room (had shampoo, conditioner & moisturizer but no soap, even when asked at desk - random!); bar was nice enough and the staff were friendly, but could do with staying open longer than 2100.

The hotel is very close to the Harper's Ferry National Park, which is the best thing it has going for it. The buildings smelled strongly of cleaning materials and one of the rooms we had been allocated did not have hot water. So that was a fail. They did move them to a new room once we brought it to their attention, so +1. Then again they ran out of bathing soap and did not have more in their reception! Also the coffee was the weakest, least flavored I have had anywhere, bar none.

Nice stay

We had a nice stay. The check in went fine. They have a restaurant attached and went there for supper. It was good food. We had the fried green tomato blt. The pool was very warm, which was a very nice surprise. The halls were not lit well. Our room was nice and pretty clean. The bathroom had long black hairs on the floor and in the tub - not sure if from the cleaning person or what. The breakfast was decent. The coffee was very weak so that was disappointing to all of us as we like coffee to taste like coffee. The waffles are always a favorite and they had 3 flavors to choose from. They offered scrambled eggs, sausage links, and the normal cereal, toast, etc. It's nice to have that free breakfast included with our hotel stay. Overall it was a good stay and we slept well.
