Staff at the O Poejo were outstanding, making sure all my needs were met and questions were answered. Breakfast was very good. The room was nicely equipped - the fridge was a welcome addition, as was the powerful air conditioner.

Must Book Hotel in the Region
This hotel made my whole experience in the region really excellent. The hotel is located in the town with 700 residents, and it is only 5-10 mintues drive from the Marvão castle. The room the hotel is in the very good condition, it is always clean and tidy. Fhe hotel is owned by the lovely family, and they will welcome you with warmest heart in Portugal. They didn't have huge variety of food for breakfast, however, they tried to make food naturally and fresh. So the quality of breakfast is really good. Please don't skip breakfast in the nice smal garden in the hotel.

Innehaveren er designer og hotellet bærer preg av dette med en fantastisk blanding av moderne innredning og gamle gjenstander. Sosial og kunnskapsrik hotellvert som gjerne deler historier og kunnskap med gjestene. Område som byr på mange muligheter mht. historiske forhold, naturopplevelser. Utrolig service i resepsjonen og det lokale drosjeselskapet.

Small comfortabl hotel in Santo António das Areias
Small hotel in a neighbour town of the beautiful site of Marvao. The hotel itself was very nice and the receptionist was very helpful. Marvao is a very special place and worth a visit, but the small town Santo António das Areias is very quiet and the hotel restaurant was unfortunately not open so we had to search the area for food in the evening. Alentejo is a nice area.

Et forholdsvist ukendt område af Portugal, skønt landskab, fascinerende byer. Hotellet rigtig godt, kyndig, hjælpsomme værter, dejlig balkon, god frisk varieret morgenmad, ingen æg, men den slags laver de uden beregning. Dejlig gårdhave, hvor de gerne bringer is, hvis man invitereren gæst på en medbragt gin/tonic.
