The hotel had a reasonable price. The breakfast was good with good service. The infinity pool was really nice. The room was about 30 yards from the beach. I arrived on a holiday later in the evening and asked for a place to eat. Was directed to go several miles down the road by the staff. Got ready to go but seen a restaurant/bar across the road was open....would be great if staff was aware of this. Bring your own towel as pool towels are only sold ($12 ea) not provided. Be aware this is a bit remote and going anywhere is a bit of a drive. Roads are narrow, curving and full of pot holes.....I think its great as is away from the crowds, but some may not like this. Hot water is provided by solar water heaters so early morning showers are cool but evening and day showers are nice and hot. I would go back.

My 5 days 4 nights here was relaxing & very enjoyable. This is a great family friendly property- great for children. The staffs were very friendly & nice. The pool was great and over looks the beach & ocean. Beautiful view. I would definitely visit again.

This is my second time in Mauna Caribe and all I have to say is that the beach area is in very poor condition. No maintenance is done to it. It is such a beautiful place and with a little maintenance it would be a much better place to stay.

It started when I tried to call the property to see if we were able to check in early and we kept getting hung up on. Then we got there and we signed the wrong room order the king room and we’re assigned double beds. There was no hot water. The toilet would not flush. The air was stuck on 72 the whole time, and the parking was very limited. We had to walk all the way from the street to the hotel then four buildings down to our assigned room. The staff was unpleasant. We were not able to get clean towels. We had two towels for our three day stay was good however the portions were light , the drink prices are good, but I don’t think that we will return for a day next time
