The facility is a filthy mess being run by clueless unkempt individuals. It is like a scene from a nightmare. Absolutely a dump! No one should ever stay there! I left after waiting for over 50 minutes while three different people tried to get me checked in. I asked to see the room, and promptly decided it would be impossible to sleep there so I left, and thankfully the Holiday Inn Express had 2 rooms left, and I was able to stay there.

We were very happy to see there was an appleby restaurant next to the motel. What I did not like was our room - the bed was not change, had the receptionist to bring some sheets. The heating system was not working so therefore she brought us a heater. The place would be fabulous if it would be upgraded.
This place was FILTHY. They have a toddler running around bare foot only in a diaper. Staff is not very clean. The facility is FILTHY. It feels like you’re walking into a horror scene. The facility stinks. The one shower didn’t even work. We had one thin cardboard feeling blanket on our bed. The sheets were stained. There were holes in the walls. The light fixture didnt even have a cover on it. There wasn’t a smoke detector in our room. The hallways had dirty linens and trash all over. It smelt like cigarettes and filth. The elevator was expired. This place just was not a good experience at all. This was supposed to be a relaxing evening before a big day and it was nothing short of a nightmare. Never again. The check in desk was disgusting. We waited 20 minutes to check in because staff was somewhere else. You had to call a phone number for someone to check you in. This place was very sketchy.
Waited 20 mins for someone to show up to check me in. Listened to them curse & argue about recording there time. The place is dirty. The blankets was paper thin. The heat in the room didn’t work was about 55 degrees all night. There was such a line in the morning to check out cause they was out smoking that I just left.
The people did not act like they knew what they were doing. We came back from an excursion the second day and our key would not open the door. The lady had to make 4 keys and only one finally worked. The people seemed quite nice but need some training. I felt rhey were trying ro upgrade but were not doing a good job of it. The mattress in the room as well as the tv needs replaced. The ice machine we were told was not working. The shower was the best thing about rhe whole stay. There was a coffee srain on the bedspread. As for breakfast there was one box of cold cereal. A few small waffles and pancakes for the toaster. A gallon of milk and some syrup. No knives. The price of the hotel and the shower are my two good comments. We will never stay at this Meadville, PA location ever again.
Didn’t like all the extra money deducted because staff made a mistake. This 90 dollar hotel has cost me 200 dollars so far. They’re supposed to return my money but we’ll see. Took me an hour to check in.. LITERALLY
DAVE CHOPPS..
I felt like I was walking into a motel from The Hills Have eyes. The staff clearly live there and do not separate home and work. The employees are walking around barefoot with dingy clothes. Her husband or boyfriend in sandals. We were checked into a room with a broken door and wall. We were then sent to 5 other room ( which was the total rooms they had available) and each room was disgusting, in no shape to be slept in. Some of the rooms were left wide open. Looked like people had been sitting on the beds. The hallways were cluttered with materials and SOILED towels on the floor. The condition of the actual building was neglected. Holes in walls that clearly were there a long time. Unpainted walls. I mean the list goes on and on. Please do not stay here. I was driving a long distance and this was meant to be a stop. I ended up having to sleep in my car. The most horrible experience I’ve ever had.
When we arrived, the desk staff was friendly. There were 4 of us spending the night. There were only 2 cups, 1 towel, the clock was broken and the breakfast was hardly anything. Some of the lights didn't work and no tissues .
We choose this property because my husband stayed there for work and at the time it was clean and a pleasant place. Went back for a Celebration of life. Obviously you can't go back. Tge property was filthy, bugs on bathroom floor. Was moved 2x because the lights in the bathroom didn't work. We would have left if we hadn't paid in advance. The owners/staff were unprofessional, rude, spent more time outside smoking that working the front desk. The absolutely worst place ever. Choice Hotel who owns Econolodge should be ashamed and this place should be closed.
Room was clean. Had to ask at front desk for towels. Came back 4 hours later and they found 2 ( not sure if they were clean). Office, lobby and laundry room had not been cleaned in weeks. Man at front desk appeared to be on something.
