I recently stayed at the Dan Carlton Belfort in Medellin which is marketed as a 5-star property, but my experience left me feeling like the hotel only just meets the quality of a 3-star establishment. While the hotel was clean and felt safe, there were a few noticeable downsides. The noise from adjacent rooms was a major issue—presumably due to the rooms being interconnected, I could hear conversations and loud music from next door, which was disruptive, especially at night. This lack of soundproofing definitely impacted my comfort. The room itself was adequate but not the luxurious experience I had expected for a 5-star hotel. It was spacious enough but lacked the attention to detail in terms of decor and amenities. The bed was fine, though not exceptionally comfortable, and the furnishings felt a bit dated. Room service for dinner was underwhelming. The quality of the food did not match the upscale ambiance the hotel seemed to be aiming for. It was a bit disappointing given the price point. On a positive note, the room was equipped with a TV that had Netflix, which was a nice touch and provided some entertainment during downtime. It’s also worth mentioning that the hotel staff was nice and the overall environment felt safe, so I didn’t feel concerned about security during my stay. Overall, I expected a higher level of luxury based on the 5-star rating, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to that standard.

This hotel always has a great price. Is it a great value for your money. The air conditioner system seems to be a lot newer. If you don’t get this nasal congestion, brown, mold, like at the other sister hotels . I sleep all day and if I want to watch TV I don’t get asked to turn my TV down. The employees are top notch. I cannot say enough.
