The hotel is located in a great spot. Close enough to the nightlife yet off the path a bit while still a safe area. The staff is excellent and hard working. Great breakfast buffet as well with a good selection. Room is comfortable.

Las habitaciones son grandes y cómodas. Asegúrese de pedir un piso más alto para una mejor vista. Las vistas en el segundo/3o piso no son buenas. Dicho esto, el personal y el hotel son de primera categoría. El desayuno y la comida del restaurante son deliciosos. Y finalmente, está en un gran vecindario, El Poblado.

I am American and have a younger Colombian wife. The staff was not friendly to her as if she was escort. We invited an old friend from her youth for a glass of wine, but they wanted to charge an additional 160,000 pesos. However I watched several times as guest brought other guests that were closer in age with no charge. It made my wife very uncomfortable as they thought she was a call girl. It really put a damper on an enjoyable week.

I totally enjoyed the atmosphere. Before I stayed at the Dan Carton, although the staff there was very nice and welcoming, the hotel accommodations did not completely my expectations. So, this time I stayed at the Du Parc hotel and I have to admit that this place met all my expectations. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful, and accommodating on all occasions. I been to some of the pricey hotels in Medellín and none of them can compare with Du Parc. For the price of the rooms, I can’t ask for more. Rooms were always kept clean every day, the hotel itself was always clean. The breakfast at the Du Parc excellent. A lot to choose from. And most importantly, they didn’t serve the same breakfast every day, most is it, but some foods were different. The breakfast was good every morning and always on time. I liked staying at this hotel so much that I can’t think of any other place to stay each time I return to Medellin, I spoken to some of my friends about this hotel and my experiences and they’re now excited about staying there also. What I like most about this hotel, and this is always most important to me, is the friendliness of the staff. Every staff member, desk clerks, the custodians, waitresses and waiter’s all had great attitudes.

I travel all around the world staying in top class hotels. This one is a gem. Not a big hotel and not like the big chains. This is unique and the owner is totally hands on. The way the hotel is laid out and decorated makes it very special. Great breakfast included and rates are extremely reasonable. I rarely recommend hotels but this one is highly recommended.
