Fairfield Inn is a nice place to stay

Room was nice. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was the usual hotel fare. The people are nice. Also, a lot of choices to eat out.

The manager Katarina was unprofessional rude and just plain mean. Not the first time I’ve dealt with this nightmare of a woman. If her boss knew what a tyrant she portrays herself as at this hotel they would be shocked to say the least. One of the nastiest human beings I’ve ever encountered. Lord help anyone who has to interact with this sorry excuse for a human

It was pretty average as far as the rooms and amenities were concerned. Lighting in the room was very, very low, so getting ready for the day was affected by that. I knew from the signage that there was some renovation going on, but what I didn't know was at 8am I would be woken up blue power tools and banging hammers above my head. When I mentioned this to the front desk staff, they seemed shocked that I could hear anything, but said they hadn't even been upstairs to experience the noise for themselves. Additionally, I had to reschedule a work related Zoom call because I couldn't access the WiFi on any devices. When I brought this to the front desk staff's attention, they just showed me that their phones "were on WiFi and fine" -- OK awesome, but none of my devices could get on so that wasn't helpful at all. The air circulation in the room was also pretty bad--very stuffy even with it being only ~40 degrees out, so I either had to sleep with the window open and be really cold, or run the AC which smelled like it needed a filter change. Wasn't impressed and won't be back.

When I came in for check in my room wasn't available and the person at the desk didn't offer to hold my luggage for me. I had to drag it back to my car. I came back 2 hours later and asked to get ice, I was told that only the first floor had ice. The ice machine wasn't working on the first floor. Then I discovered that my window was unlocked. Thank goodness I checked because my room was on the first floor and that is very dangerous for me. I don't know why the staff left the window unlocked. But that is very serious especially on the first floor!!!! I called the front desk and they had someone come in and lock it because it was very difficult to lock it myself. The next morning, I discovered that I forgot my hairbrush and went to the vending area and there were none for purchase so I asked the front desk attendant if she had any hairbrushes or combs and she offered me a toothbrush. That was rude. Also, there was a notice on the website that the pool was unavailable until 2027 so I didn't bring my swimsuit but when I walked by the pool, there were people enjoying it. The only positive was the breakfast was good and the person working in the dining area was very nice and kept everything clean and stock.
