My parents stayed there for a few days. Most staff are very friendly and helpful, especially since it is their first visit to Melbourne. The restaurant for breakfast is fantastic! (According to them). It’s very easy to travel to, but it’s also quiet, and there is a lot of nature, so they enjoyed walking around.

Great location. Reception area is lovely. We ate at the restaurant which was superb. Had our dessert and coffees in front of the fire which topped off a great evening. On the downside the room we booked was the king corner spa room which was very tired. The cleanliness of the room was not good. The bathroom had what looked like mould on the ceiling. The whole room needs a good refurbishment. The bed however was very comfortable.

We had a lovely overnight stay to celebrate an anniversary. Staff were very friendly and check-in/check-out went smoothly. Room was very nice, on the small side but enough for the time we were there. We had a spa room and the shower is also in the spa, which could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. We pre-purchased parking onsite, which wasy to access. Being close to public transport, the hotel is in a great location and easy to get into the city.

Overcharged on parking. Have slept on concrete that was softer than the bed. Shower was either freezing or scalding hot. Zero in between. Towel rack falling off the wall. Balcony so small could not fit more than 1 person on it. Thought we were being pranked it was so laughable. Have stayed here regularly and this will definitely be the last time. Would have been better sleeping in the car.

There was no milk in the room for coffee. Also no face washers in the bathroom (unusual). When exiting the car park if you followed the arrow out you were unable to continue as the exit lane around the bend was blocked off, which made exiting a little awkward. There needed to be large signage stating this.

My original room had an old bed that played havoc with my back. At 7:00am the following morning I told the concierge and he was going to get the staff to make the bed firmer. Five hours later nothing had been done and his solution was to put doonas on the mattress to firm it up. I was most distressed, exhausted from moving out of my apartment and needed to taken strong painkillers and rest. Eventually I was put into a room where the concierge asked me to try the mattress as it was ‘a new one’. It was good. This room was not an upgrade but a downgrade to a single room from my two rooms. It was in better condition than the more expensive one. The bathroom/s need upgrading and hotel products need to be on hand. The second room had better shower products than the more expensive one. One tissue left in the box with no spare in the room or bathroom. No jug to put water in the fridge. The dining facilities were excellent both in food and staff. I have not paid the bill as I’m waiting for a proper adjustment not a one of $68.69 credit. There are two nights that I stayed in the cheaper room with no adjustment. Overall, it has left a sour taste and I don’t believe I will stay there again.

We stayed last year, and chose to go back this year as it was near to family. We paid over a $1000 for 5 nights. When we arrived we checked in and went to our allocated room. There was dirt on a light switch which looked like faeces which husband cleaned off and took a photograph. On our 2nd day I made the bed and the quilt had all stains on it. We reported this to the front desk and we where given a different room. Which we moved to and the guy assisted us with our luggage. When we got to the new room we found it was not cleaned to the standard of a 4.5 star hotel. We will definitely not be staying here again.

Good location with tram out the front for the MCG. 2 bedroom apartment was sufficent, although frypan needs an update if planning on cooking. Vent in room was covered in dust with finger prints on it. Found underwear and a towel in the washer/dryer and a false eyelash stuck on the light above vanity from the previous stay. Cleaning could be improved.

The restaurant and cafe area was great. Staff friendly and helpful. That’s where it ended. The 2 bedroom apartment was outdated and we felt we were staying in a 2 star hotel. The bedroom on the lower floor was freezing, we couldn’t heat it. Kitchen pointless. We won’t be staying here again.

We liked sitting on the balcony to have our breakfast and having views to the city. We met some friends in the lobby lounge which was a nice area. It was a bit tricky to get the water temperature right in the shower as there was a delay when you adjusted the tap. Overall nice stay and easy public transport options on doorstep.
