This motel was sufficient for a solo traveller on a short stay. The motel is close to everything in the city - a tram stop is situated right outside the entrance, and sights within walking distance. Noise level is quite high due to its proximity to trams, streets, and construction sites. Utilities are basic - a kettle, toaster, microwave and mini fridge. However, more cutlery and plating would be better, as well as dishwashing liquid. The TV in the room includes free TV services, not streaming platforms, which is okay. Service could be improved upon, such as the staff knowing about local places, transport and providing guests with Melbourne brochures. I did not enjoy the fact that both elevators were broken the day I was checking out, meaning I had to carry my suitcase down 6 levels, 6 flights of stairs. Elevators must be urgently fixed if the motel wants to remain accessible for all guests.

Would not recommend and I only leave this review to help others who are looking for a nice stay, and also so this motel can better its conditions for guests. It was plain dirty. There was dirt and grime around all bathroom shower toilet basin etc. the bathroom sink was coming looks from the wall which is quite dangerous. Mould around shower edges and bathroom sink. Dirty carpets in some spots. There was a dirty glass in the fridge. Only one tiny milk for two guests which meant only one of us got a morning coffee:(. The shower head was not adjustable and blasts out in one stream onto you like a jet hose- quite uncomfortable! One pillow on the bed had white yuck on it that looked like someone’s bodily fluid - we believe it was that. The whole motel was so tiny and stuffy like really warm and wet feeling. There was also two leaks in the roof which we popped the rubbish bin under and by morning it had filled over a litre of water. The air conditioning was leaking too which filled another container. Staff were quite short in speech not welcoming. Please fix the place up guys

When going down to reservations to book out the lift was not working. I'm 73 and had to struggle down from level 3 with my luggage. Behind me was a lady who was really strugging. When I reached the guy at reservations I told him about her and he couldn't care less. I thought he might go and help her.

Stayed in many hotels around the world rated 3 stars and in my opinion this hotel didn't even rate a 3. Noisey, dirty, run down, poor water pressure and overall not up to scratch. Wouldnt ever come back.

There was no email from hotel on the after hours process to access the building I had to rely on another guest to help me get in the key box and the front door password. When I go in room it smelled and there was noise from construction site across the road which ran until 1am. Should have been told about this before hand.

The tv and hairdryer was not working. Lift was not functioning at 6am and required an exut via the fire stairs. Air conditioner filter had half centimetre of filth on it making it inoperable but after I cleaned it worked okay. Whilst the bed linen was clean the hotel and room was lacking. Okay to sleep if that’s all you need. Was cheap for a reason.

Both times i stayed here and booked the same room, the rooms have been completely different. They have both been noisy, loud and unclean. There is also an unbearable AC condenser just outside the window that drones constantly, loud enough that I needed to buy earplugs to sleep. I’ve stayed at a lot of budget motels recently but you can get better in the city for less.

Room was dark, dingy, filthy with carpets not cleaned and eaten by little moths which were flying about all the time. Dare not leave my suitcase opened. Paid alot for this room too, equivalent to £100/- per night. There was no one at the reception to talk to. Building works were also going on all night and couldn't get to sleep. It was a nightmare and i didn't expect this in Melbourne. I will definitely not recommend this motel ti anyone. Please get it sorted. Very disappointed customers!!!

It had a central location, was cheap for Melbourne and turns out there was a reason why. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone. The reception desk is open from 9am-5pm. Getting there at 5.30pm meant I had to self checkin, at the same time as another person. It was very uncomfortable.

Arrived early so decided to see if we could drop bags off and check in later - reception was unattended so rang the number listed to call and waited for a return call - we are still waiting for that return call over 3 days later! When we did check in the guy at reception was efficient and friendly and explained the after hours entrance. The lift was new looking and working well - unlike the other 2 lifts that were signed as not in use! The corridor was old and worn out. The room was smaller than it looked on the photos (family room with queen bed and 2 single beds). There was a funny old smoke smell in the bathroom which appeared to have been cleaned, but in need of an update and a deep clean once in a while. The window to the room overlooked the worksite of the metro tunnel works, where they do seem to work most of the night and from early in the morning. Which would not have been so bad if the window was able to be closed better and could have stopped some of the noise. The beds were comfortable enough to sleep on and clean. Air-co kept the room cool, however was on the noisey side, which as a plus did block out some of the construction noise!! This hotel is in a great position, close to Flinders Street Station, Federation Square and everything else in the CBD. So in summary, if you want a hotel in the middle of the city and do not need all the luxuries but just a place to sleep then this may just be it. If you are looking for luxury then this is not your hotel.

It would be a great positive and help to the Motel if the Manager spent some time reading the reviews along with this one and acted upon them. The location was great It's comfortable but not ritzy or the Ritz. If you want a bed and then be out and about all day then this motel is ok. I was provided with clear after hours check in arrangements (one of the few ticks). Here you get what you pay for - basic. A little difficult to find and better signage somehow would go along way. Walking along the footpath there is more emphasis on the Travelex Money Changer kiosk. If you walk at the road side (no don't do that) you may have a chance at seeing the name of the Motel. Notes for the Manager: Poor mattress sagging in the middle. No kitchen utensils other than a coffee spoon yet has a microwave oven. Noisy from the outside building/construction from 6am each morning. Some power points did not work and one was dangerous. Had other switches on the wall that didn't work. Bathroom needed a good clean as there was mould evident. Toilet seat was stained with the obvious. Air conditioning was noisy and seemingly had one speed - high. While this is a cheaper accommodation than other places there should be no excuse for the above points as they are fixable - so how about it Manager????

Bathroom was mouldy and TV didn't work. We were shifted to a slightly cleaner room but wouldn't recommend to anyone unless the room was dusted and vacumed under everything movable and the grouting replaced. Bath was rusty.
