These guys are shooting themselves in the foot with checkin located at another hotel on the other side of St Kilda. The room was fantastic with one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in Melbourne, but why they don't have onsite checkin during the peak hours (3pm - 7pm) has got to be costing them more in bad reviews than what they are saving on labor costs.

I was suppose to stay at your sister motel in Windsor however I received A late email stating that no one would be in attendance therefore I was expected to drive to St Kilda and pick up keys and then return to the Windsor motel. I was very upset at this inconvenience and believe this should of been stated on the website. I would not have booked a room if I had of known and would not recommend your motels because of this. When I finally arrived at the Dt skikda motel, no one was attending the desk which added to further stress. I had driven 4 hours to Melbourne only to be diverted to a different motel. After 10 minutes a lady appeared and was friendly and helpful. I explained my dissatisfaction with having to go to another motel to pick up keys in traffic and a city I was unfamiliar which I found extremely stressful, I asked if I could stay at the st kilda motel to which she agreed.

Hi there, The cleanliness was not up to scratch. There were coffee drips around the coffee machine which meant the bench hadn’t been wiped properly - the mirrors in bathroom were so smeared I had to wipe it over and we only got allocated 2 towels even know I paid for 4 guests.

The good: Great location with a short walk to beach and cafes. Tram stop out front to head into Melbourne city. Clean and tasteful decor. Secure parking. Price. Light breakfast. The bad: Collecting keys from different location that had limited signage at footpath level. Bed is made up of two singles pushed together with lumpy middle.

The room I had stayed in’s shower leaked onto the bathroom floor and not very good pressure or steady temp, dirty kettle filter and old water left in it while it had been stored away in a cupboard, water was also left in the coffee pod machine from before our stay. There was no fly screen on the window so couldn’t have it open without bugs flying in aswell as the heater/cooler having an odd smell when turned on. Other than this is was in a nice area and comfy bed. Overall wouldn’t recommend staying again.
