The carparking was very easy and you were able to take the lift in the carpark straight to reception . The suite was roomy and quite . The hotel was walking distance to all the places we wished to go. The dining options were plentiful.

We left at 9am for family get together.Returned at 3.15..room not cleaned. Rang housekeeping ..said they would send towels.1 Hour later,nothing.Rang reception...they said they would send someone .Half an hour later ,nothing!! My husband went to the desk ..finally towels came and bin emptied.We had to cancel a drinks date as we hadn't showered.WE made the bed/no coffee or tea replacement /no room cleaned.We have used this franchiese before(both in Sydney and Melbourne)very disappointing. as the hotel was pre booked and pre paid.

Great hotel, great location, great facilities, but the staff were pretty average. Not really friendly or wanting to help too much. They didn’t do anything bad as such, but they certainly didn’t go out of their way to make us feel comfortable or more welcome. For example, when we checked out, the staff member checked our account and said words to the effect of ‘there’s no more charges, you’re good to go’. There was no “we hope you’ve enjoyed your stay, we hope everything was what you expected, we hope to see you again, etc.” Again, nothing huge, but not really what we’d expect from Mantra.

False advertisement about housekeeping

my 5 night stay at Mantra was not as advertised. Firstly, they did not do housekeeping. Second day I asked for vacuuming and cleaning the dining table and bathroom floor, but nothing. They informed my stay did not have housekeeping, I checked my booking, nothing mentioned there, when I made booking, not advertised as NO HOUSEKEEPING as any other hotel would do, very disappointed…. still after mentioning and asking for 3, then 4 and then the 5th night of stay… still they could not vacuum and clean the place. I had to stay on my holiday in a place full crumbs on the floor, dirty dining table, hair on bathroom floor. Another thing, the parking- there was no parking- all full every night. I had to drive in, circle around to see that there is nothing , drive out, park somewhere else, and then go back through the car gate to get in the hotel- so inconvenient and time consuming. And lastly their elevators, the hotel key most of the time did not scan to get to your floor. You end up stuck in the floor or riding up and down wasting your time. And it was happening to everyone. I came from the pool, all wet and cold, going up and down 20 floors till my hotel key started to work. After all that misery- they offered 100$ off- that is just ridiculous. They just offered, I have already checked out and no refund or call from the manager . I am not staying there again. False advertisement about housekeeping!!!
