The staff were very accommodating and offered us early check in .
They were easy to deal with.

It was lovely, but the onsite carpark is a nightmare to get in and out of. Damaged my car as there is absolutely no wriggle room.
Reception is on level 8 of the Mantra. It is a little strange but don't let it put you off. The receptionist was lovely and the standard of the apartment was excellent. Will stay again.
Melbourne City Suites was ideal for a ‘hit and run’ visit to Melbourne. Its position is great to the work I was doing, facilities were all that I needed, it was particularly useful to have access to a washing machine, and there were great local options for dining.

The room is spacy & clean, location is so convenient to everything. Only the facility is a bit old, our room's shower head broken and fell off, but the staff moved us to another room fairly quick. Thank you!
Convenient location near tram stops and an easy walk to Southern Cross station. Easy check-in process and we were able to store our bags prior to check-in and after check-out. The suites are located on floors within the Mantra building but that doesn’t impact ease of finding them, check-in etc, just follow the instructions in the email received prior to arrival.
A couple of things that would have enhanced our stay are: small dining table to eat at, and a door into the bedroom as it is more like a partition wall with some glass inserts (this just made it difficult once the kids were asleep to watch tv in the living area or have lights on without risk of waking them up!).
Overall the apartment provided a convenient place for our family holidaying in Melbourne at a reasonable price. Thank you!

Property not near any transport, street barely lit and not a lot of people on the street. But facilities were great.
My bathroom hadn’t been cleaned hair and mould in shower and on floor. Cutlery also hadn’t been washed covered in food.
Bed was very firm, aircon always cold and not enough blankets.
The office hours were terrible for me, changed in after 8pm, waiting till 10am to open there was a long line up of people. I never got to see anyone.
If mcs teamed up with mantra they would have a better offer
Not suitable if you're looking for a hassle free accommodation. I've booked 3 king beds & 1 twin bed rooms for 4 nights but even with the twin bed request, i was told by the hotel reception that it is their policy that we must inform again in the email they sent during pre-check in.
The reservation team did not tell me through the phone and in the email that I was suppose to do that and I came to check in with 4 king bed rooms. I requested it during check-in again & was assured that it will be done the next day but it was not & I had to wait till the 3rd day till its done. My guest had to sleep 1 on the bed and 1 at the living room sofa for 2 nights because of the incompetence of the whole team. Wasted so many back and forth calls just to make sure it was done.
Worse still. they are charging me with AUD20 for the twin bed because of their mistake. In short, everything here was a nightmare, NOT FUSS FREE & HASSLE FREE except for its location & spacious room.
Gave my Australian number to 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE on the spot thru the phone & told them to call me by that number but until now that I've checked out, these 3 people still called me thru the wrong number even though it is a call back within 10mins. I truly cannot understand why.
