My favourite place to stay in Melbourne, but there are definitely good and bad rooms. Room 102 is a dud. Big ol’ rattley air conditioner outside the window providing freight train level nighttime wake-up calls. Servicd a little bit hit and miss. Enthusiasm levels waning.

Within walking distance of the beach and several parks. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was a little dusty and there is no elevator, so be careful about that if you decide to stay.

Staff were good for check in, obviously this is a pub and hence staff can be busy in the bar, but all went well. No lift so carry bags as it is a heritage type hotel. Room was good, modern and nice bathroom esp the shower. There was a Nespresso coffee but bizarrely there was no coffee pods, no cups, no milk, no teaspoons - nothing. There is a nice cafe across the road however. The location was great, we were flying in to catch a cruise vessel so perfect for that, the park is across the road and the waterfront 500m walk - I went for a run, perfect!
