Oakes on Market Melbourne
This place is in a great location and access to the city and Crown is truly amazing. Went & saw a show at the regent Theatre, shopping in the CBD and Dinner at Crown. Have a great offer for parking at Secure Parking just 100mt away. All in all a fantastic 2 night stay

Given a two bedroom room despite a studio, normally this would be ok but it changed the design and altered the way you use the facilities. Initial appearance was disappointing, rubbish on ground and overly scuffed walls. Bathroom small, overhead shower difficult to navigate out (you wouldn’t want to have mobility issues). The lifts were terrible, twice I waited longer than 5 mins to exit the building.

Terrible property! Air conditioning didn’t work in the room they gave me, so they moved me to a new room - where the air conditioning also did not work. They gave me a fan and told me maintenance would come in the morning to look at what was wrong. Maintenance didn’t show up until 3:30, when I was getting ready to leave. Carpet in both rooms was stained and both rooms were mildewy and musty, resulting in my getting sick. Do yourself a favor: pay a bit more and stay elsewhere!!!

Oaks Melbourne on Market was an ok venue to stay in. Check in was prompt and easy. Rooms were clean but furniture worn out, fraying on the couches and dining chairs, yellowed paint, cracking cornices. Stained curtains. But bedding was clean, amenities provided. Would stay here purely for a place that I only wanted to sleep in, in the business district. Wasn't quite the comfort one would want to relax in the room in

Had to wedge spoons in the door so it would let air into the room due to the air con hissing like crazy. The shower taps fell off and the shower temp was impossible to get right. The lift was a joke, go for a 15min ride before you get off on your level. Staff was great though!
