The room was dusty, the blankets on the bed were stained, thankfully on the outside, not the inside. The spa did not work on the first night, the water pressure is non existent. I asked for the room to cleaned and the spa fixed, the person at the desk argues with me as it was a Sunday, I asked for the manager to contact me, that never happened. Thankfully the room was cleaned and spa fixed, but the doona was another doona, but still stained. I would not stay here again.

Hotel in need of Reno. Overpriced at $341 for the night but Beds were comfortable. Bathroom not up to standard for cleanliness. Only one lift operating. Tradie banging away in the other lift at 7.30am which woke us up. Location was good for our purpose and close to tram stop but would not stay here again unless there was no other option in St Kilda.

Plenty of character… just not the good kind The rooms have certainly seen better decades — threadbare carpets, dated décor, and showers that prefer to surprise you with either boiling or freezing temperatures (and very little in between). Room servicing is every three days, so you’ll have plenty of time to bond with your towels. Morning wake-up calls come courtesy of drills and machinery right outside your door, as the lift undergoes what appears to be a very long and public recovery process. Step outside and you’ll find an unfortunate (and persistent) patch of dog mess by the front entrance — a recurring guest, despite several reports to staff. There’s an overall air of neglect, with a hint of sewerage in the background for atmosphere. Our adjoining room was locked (no privacy lock option once opened), but did offer the charming discovery of someone else’s leftover lollies — a sweet reminder that we weren’t the first to wonder what goes on behind that door. In all, it’s a stay with plenty of stories to tell — just not the kind we’d come back for

Position was good, check in staff member was nice. The hotel room was very tired with worn through carpet. The bathroom was ok but needs replacement of mouldy grout. The air conditioning unit cut in and out all night and was very noisy. The worst part was that the hotel was undergoing some renovations ( lift upgrade) and drilling started on a Saturday morning at 8am. It was very loud. No warning of this was given during the booking process. I won’t be back - there are plenty of other places to stay.

From checking in to checking out I was happy and surprisingly impressed by this hotel. Lovely quiet, clean and well presented room, excellent bathroom and plentiful hot water with great pressure. Breakfast was well prepared and presented in a location that allowed me to appreciate the vibrancy of St Kilda. Parking easily accessible. Staff that I engaged with were all friendly, helpful and genuine.

Hotel of choice for us

We always stay here its convenience has parking and lovely staff team. The warm lighting only in the room thus visit was annoying as i like a bright light tovread by and usually its optional switches. The shower recess needs regrouting or a good bleach clean the rest of the vathroom excellent. We ll be back (-; its a hotel if choice in Melbourne lication is great

Whilst advertised as a 4star this hotel is well and truly tiered and in need of some love. I booked it for the location and the fact it apparently had a bar on site and restaurant- well the bar only opens friday night - useless when trying to entertain clients . Restaurant was only open for breakfast- the staff and food at breakfast were fantastic
