Property was stylish and clean. The check in was easy and staff were lovely. The shower design basicially flooded half of the bathroom so I had to use the supplied 2 bath towels to mop it up after a shower and the body wash was empty . When I rang reception for more towels and body wash they acted a little like it was a weird request to ask for more towels. But they did bring me an extra towel and new body wash within 5mins . Would recommend

Great find for a funky hotel option in the heart of Melbourne CBD. Easy access to everything including restaurants, public transport and major retailers. Smart use of space in the rooms with sliding doors to partition bathroom, toilet and shower. This was relatively new, so was disappointed to find some lights not working. Will also need a deep clean as shower showed build up. As this was accessed from a laneway, encountered some dodgy people during NYE celebrations, otherwise it was nice for it to be out of the hustle and bustle. Staff were excellent - polite and helpful. Overnight parking options were the clincher at very reasonable rates. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again.

Such a fantastic location. Right in the middle of all the great arcades and laneways. Very close to Burke st Mall. I would stay here again for the location. Rooms comfortable. Aircon stopped working but was fixed. Staff very attentive, pleasant and responsive.

Beautifully renovated hotel right near Bourke Street Mall. Gorgeous bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. Discount parking. Friendly staff. Perfect overnight stay. Only complaint - there was not enough wardrobe space.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Check in was easy. Room was lovely and inviting. Beds very comfortable. Only negative was the way reception spoke to the housekeeping staff as we checked out. They should be polite to everybody, not just guests. They spoke to the poor man like he was worthless, it made me extremely disappointed and saddened for a man just trying to do his job well.

We had a great stay. Howey was well located and so close to everything. Room was big enough for us 3 and we will definitely be back. Only downsides was there was no sink/microwave in the ‘kitchen’ area and our room was covered in finger/toe nails that obviously hadn’t been vacuumed up properly.

A recently refurbished hotel, everything was clean and modern. The rooms are functional and the bed is very comfortable. Only minor downsides are a very underwhelming lobby, with empty (unfinished?) bar/restaurant area, a lack of complimentary in room water and no body lotion. They are only small things but I’d still return for another stay.

Great hotel. All the staff we met at the property were very friendly. The room was lovely. The only thing I found was the tv switching channels or just not connecting. But we weren’t there to watch tv. Great location, central to everything we needed.

Perfect CBD Stay
First time staying at The Howey. Selected this hotel as other go-to hotels were pricey by comparison. Very impressed. 8th floor room was very quiet, a surprise given the central CBD location (and close to trams on Swanston St). Lovely modern decor, spotless. Very comfy bed. Amazing shower! Staff very friendly at check-in, instantly felt welcome. Will recommend, and stay again.

Another wonderful stay. Great room, exceptionally clean and very cosy. Really well designed rooms (power points where you need them & etc) natural light and very comfortable bed. Our room was on a smaller size, but didn’t need more. Hot water in the shower was not great. They need to invest in a better toilet paper. Cutting corners like this takes away from the caliber of this hotel. The location is very good and close to everything. We had a lovely dinner at the French restaurant (Bistro D’Orsay) and caught a musical across the street.

I had prepaid the stay and at check in time, front desk staff tried to charge me again. They hadn’t checked and I had to insist and show them my bank account. Empty shower gel. Room was extremely dark, including the bathroom. Very difficult to do my makeup.

A king/queen bed isn’t 2 lumpy singles pushed together with a big bedding over the top - terrible sleep as a result Yes everything was clean, but light switches and fittings are cheap and don’t always work properly I won’t be back, sorry guys
