Clean hotel but worried about safety.
I did not check in but I did view the room. The hotel is surrounded by a gate. There were two stray dogs on the property inside the gate. I spoke with the two young men at the desk and I asked to view of the room. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom had no smell and the carpet did not look bad. The hotel is located in an area that I did not feel comfortable staying in with two young children alone, so I requested to cancel my reservation and the gentleman had no problem doing so.

The room was large and clean but the a/c unit was missing pcs. There was a hole in the floor in front of the unit. I found a cockroach in the bathroom. The place had a strange odor.

The staff were nice there. The first room I was assigned there was a foul smell, they happily gave me another room which was better but I had to spray Lysol to clear the air/aroma of the room, didn't want to breathe it as I slept. Another issue is I never saw anyone walk through the lobby, it felt like I was the only person staying at that hotel, had a very unsafe feeling about that location.
