Nice clean hotel but staff lacked customer service

No remote in room took several hours to finally find a staff member to help. The initial staff members just told us they were out. Called Hilton who tried 4x to contact the desk and and no one would answer. On day two our door battery died and we could not get into our room for a while. The pool was overtaken by a group of people who made it so no one else could swim and were smoking pot the smell was horrible caused everyone else to leave the pool. Front desk staff were told yet the group remained in the pool and made it so we could not use it that night.

We were really disappointed with our stay. We asked multiple times for our room to be cleaned, and it never happened, which was frustrating. The pool was extremely dirty — you couldn’t even see the bottom — and it didn’t look like it had been maintained in a while. The tables downstairs were always sticky, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel left a lot to be desired. For the price we paid, we expected much better service and upkeep. Sadly, it just felt like no one cared about maintaining the property or making sure guests were comfortable.

My stay at the Embassy Suite was horrible. The room was not clean on arrival. The living room TV did not work until the second day. The bed was lumpy. The hotel power shut down for 40 minutes. No instruction from the staff. I requested to be moved to a different room. The keys did not work due to the power outage. On my check out day only one customer service computer worked. I had to leave without chiding out and getting a receipt because of the long wait. This was the worst travel experience I have had. The personnel did not seem to care at all. I wish I could get a refund.

Great hotel, excellent location, staff was wonderful. Only complaint I have is the pool floor is extremely slick. My son stepped in and fell hitting his head on the tile. He was not running, but just stepped into the pool area and fell. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again!

The man at the front desk needed help because he kept answering the phones instead of checking the line of 4 people into their rooms, the refrigerator in our room didn’t work, the front room tv had to come and get fixed on day one, a vent from the ceiling fell and woke us up at 5a, and there weren’t enough trash cans in the room so we had to use our shopping bags/food bags for our trash.

Better fresh food otherwise I would still give it 5 star review …Great restaurants around Like the Capital Grille and Ruth Chris…took an Uber to Soul Fish Cafe ….It was worth the Uber …Next visit to Memphis I would certainly stay again…
