my reservation was for two queen beds. when I arrived, the manager told me they were out of those rooms, even though i had made a reservation. they offered to upgrade to a king, but i needed both beds since i was traveling with 3 of my children. then the manager explained they had a room that was needing maintenance and said i could use it as long as i agreed to being notified beforehand, she even had me initial the invoice. Since it was late at night and i was deep in Memphis, I really had no choice unless i wanted to keep driving and search for a different location. So, we stayed in a room that had a very loud leaking tub faucet and an a/c that worked only half the time. We were not very pleased with our stay. no discount was authorized. I paid full price for a room that was not up to standards. Very unprofessional to take advantage of people.

Comfortable bed quiet and the staff was lovely. My issue is that there was not a person to pick me up at the airport because they do not have any coverage at the hotel. I had to pay Lyft to bring me there. I specifically picked the hotel because of the shuttle.

Disappointed with Holiday Inn Service

1) informed on arrival that water was not safe, could not even brush teeth without bottled water. They did provide us each with a bottle. 2) On checkout, I asked for a printed copy of my receipt. She steadfastly declined to do that. I was told the previous night that I had to be charged an additional fee in advance in case I at some time might buy something from the tiny mini store. This was supposed to be refunded if not spent. I had no way of knowing if charged due to the reception clerk’s rude flat out refusal of receipt for anything. I used to think Holiday Inns were decent, will think twice before staying at a Holiday Inn again.
