We were scheduled to stay at this property on a day that the college had a game and they let the football players stay at the hotel on game days and they allow them to have a late checkout so I was not able to get into my room until after 10 pm or freshen up for NBA game I had tickets for and it was very frustrating

DO NOT DO IT!
Front desk was extremely rude. It was like pulling teeth to get sheets for the 3rd bed (pull out couch). They refused to give us a pillow for that bed. Stated "You should have plenty and we don't have any down here". We seen a roach that night, but it hid and we weren't able to get a picture.... until the next morning when we found it chilling in the fridge. (picture attached) When we woke up, I wanted coffee. Our room was only equipped with decaf. I asked the front desk for coffee... they were again rude and told me they don't have any. SERIOUSLY! We only stopped here to take a nap before continuing to our destination. They then told me I could buy some in their restaurant. I was not happy, but really needed a cup of coffee. The restaurant lady was EXTREMELY SWEET and gave me a cup for free. I was super happy about that. All in all, do not stay at this hotel. It is nasty and I have not seen a more rude bunch of people in hospitality in a very long time!

This is a special hotel as it’s part of the University across the street. All the rooms are suites and they are very spacious. Even though the hotel is older and some of it hasn’t been updated, it’s very clean and the staff are lovely. There’s a neat museum on the 2nd floor about the history of Holiday Inn! Will definitely be staying here again!

Check-in was very nice. The Front Office Manager, Mr Wollam, checked me in and was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was un-interesting and seemed incomplete. Butter and jam in large quantities, as well as a toaster, but no bread of any description, which was odd, I thought.

Nice, convenient hotel located on the U of M campus. Central to just about everything in the city. I think a renovation is due, particularly in the bathrooms in the rooms, but they are clean & serviceable.
