Clean, modern hotel with great amenities within easy walking distance of Beale Street's bars, music venues, and restaurants. Friendly service, decent breakfast options.
We loved our stay at the Hyatt Centric in Memphis. The property was very clean, the rooms modern and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We had drinks and food at the hotel bar several times. The food and drinks were good, although wine choices were somewhat limited.
The hotel has a lot of potential, and is centrally located to everything (including Gus' Fried Chicken!). However, the management of the restaurant/lounge is clearly lacking, as the service was lousy and lazy (eg., dishes left all night on the bar top, 1 hour for breakfast). And, the water pressure of the sink faucets in room 744 was abysmal. Finally, the vent in the tiny bathroom was not working :-(
When we arrived it was very crowded. There was a line to check in. The room was not ready. We were there for a game. We left went to the game and when the game was over we were able to check in. Overall the room was clean.
Cool little hotel. Rooftop sunset is a must see although get there early for a table. Had a corner room facing the river, cool. Staff was outstanding especially the attendant at the rooftop elevator. Didn’t get his name but a genuine dude. Thumbs up Hyatt!

Liked: Amenities
My only complaint, my second time staying at the hotel and my rooms never ready. Theirs an almost 2 hour wait after checking in.
Our stay was absolutely amazing. Service was very efficient. The room was nice and comfy. The rooftop bar was great. Beale Street was right there. Its also close to the FedEx Forum.

Disliked: Staff & service
Room was tiny.Staff uninterested.Parking service was bad. Room was advertised as sleeping 3, but did not . Was way over priced.
The worst experience ever… The LA Lakers were staying here and no rooms were available at 4pm check in… you should have seen the line of angry customers trying to get into their rooms! I’ll post photos of the lobby. All they were worried about was whether someone was taking photos or videos while the players were going out to their bus. And threatened everyone that they would have to leave if they did!!
I booked 4 rooms.Checked in at 3pm and didn’t get into our room until after 6pm. 3 hours later. All they would compensate was 2 free drink tickets which is an insult considering I spent $1500 on 4 rooms. The worst professionalism and snooty attitudes I’ve ever experienced. If Hyatt or anyone they are affiliated with ever sees my business again call Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. I’d get better service at a Motel 6.. Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!
