We spent 15 days in Merida at Hotel Santa Maria. In April/May, we had also stayed 3 weeks in Merida. This beautifully decorated hotel is very convenient to everything. With central gardens and wonderful tropical landscaping, you will feel as if you stepped back in time, since this is one of the old colonial edifices. There is a great outdoor pool set amidst the tropical gardens -- a wonderful place to cool off in the heat of the day. Comfortable seating can be found out in the front portico area. Our caminista, Yamila, is incredible and saw to anything we needed. Our huge surprise came when she started leaving towel animals for us! So sweet! In the end, we had 3 pets in our room! The staff is superb and made us feel at home! The only things we did miss were a coffee maker and a refrigerator, but it did get us out walking earlier! Thank you all! ❤️

Very good BASIC hotel
The hotel Santa Maria provides basic rooms that are clean and comfortable without any frills. The staff is always friendly and attentive. If some additional services were provided, it would be an outstanding hotel. Unfortunately, it is missing a manes such as coffee machines or a coffee station in the hotel, it also Does not have a restaurant or bar. It does, however, have a swimming pool.

The stay overall was excellent. Pool was perfect and rooms were aw pictured. Only complain was sheets were stained on many spots. Customer service was good. Location was great since we were so close to the center.

Definitely recommend this bargain hotel
For a 1 star hotel, the Santa Maria was excellent. My room was spacious, good hot water and pressure, excellent AC, and immaculately clean. It also had a big screen TV if that is important to guests. There was an issue getting towels the first day, but no biggie. The location couldn't be better with easy access to the bustle of the Santa Lucia neighborhood.

Lovely hotel with secure parking
Nice hotel in a good location. Clean room and nice (but small) pool in the courtyard of the hotel but with only 2 or 3 “outdoor” chairs available to use. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great secure parking.

Es un hotel tranquilo, tiene una alberca que se mantiene limpia, esta cerca de varios restaurantes, y el centro, una de las cosas que me gusto que el staff del hotel es gente muy amable, que siempre trata de ayudar a los turistas. Lo recomiendo , sobre todo cuando vas a pasar la mayor parte del tiempo conociendo la ciudad y visitando lo que Mérida ofrece

Even though it is an old building, it was well kept, parking was inside property, staff was extremely helpful.and courteous. It is located a block away from restaurants, plazas, church, etc. Truly enjoyed it and have already recommended to others. I would only add that a s.all restaurant would be a great addition to the prooerty. We were in the middle of Hurricane and unable to find a place to eat.

Perfect location
Just returned from a one-week stay at Hotel Santa Maria. It's located in the very heart of town, halfway between the cathedral square and the Paseo de Montejo. There are dozens of coffee shops, bars, and restaurants within an easy walk. The staff is very helpful, friendly and welcoming, and the pool is lovely (but small). Does it have all the amenities of a five-star hotel? No. But for the price it's a wonderful choice in a very central location. I would absolutely stay there again.

It’s a very nice quiet place that is close to Teheran centre and walkable to the Paso de Montejo and the Gran Plaza. Nice Mexican cuisine and other nearby. Rooms are clean and roomy. Hot water was tepid and given 32C outside, not an issue for us. Pool is small and refreshing. Lobby relaxing and chairs to read by. Liked this place!

The hotel and the room was acceptable. I was on the 4th floor and no lift but no worries. There was no chair in the room so could only sit on the bed. No fridge was a pity. No blackout curtains or a safe a pity. Door lock was pretty flimsy and no chain or latch on the inside was a concern. But the room came at a reasonable rate and the area looked safe and it was centrally located and quiet. So hotel is reasonable.

Beautiful historical hotel!
It is a beautiful historic hotel . My husband and I enjoyed our two nights at the hotel. It is a short walk to the central plaza and with a lot of great restaurants near by too. The small pool in the courtyard was clean and refreshing. The staff were nice and helpful. I would highly recommend a stay here
