Front desk friendly. Room and property clean. Breakfast was good for continental . 630 -9 am. Except for last day, Friday… Sat in the dining area waiting for breakfast until 0730 — different breakfast employee came in late or short staffed hadn’t gotten the breakfast set up.? Disappointedly we left …we couldn’t wait any longer … several hours drive home. Would have appreciated an acknowledgement of us sitting there or explanation of how late it was going to be…. Could have been on road earlier

Front desk staff was rude on check in. Three at the counter and none of them greeted me or even gave a smile during any part of the interaction. Overnight clerk is very nice and considerate. Professional and kind. But the daytime staff held a very snobby and unfriendly impression of the hotel overall.
We were not notified by Expedia that this hotel has been bought out by La Quinta. We could not find the hotel, and only going to a Holiday Inn (not an Express) did that staff member tell us to go to this La Quinta. I had already paid for the reservation and nothing said La Quinta. The hotel is in a renovation and mostly complete. There was no sign posted anywhere for us to know that this was the correct hotel to come to. Thankfully, the staff member at the Holiday Inn in a different direction off of the interstate told us where to go. The bed was very comfortable and the a/c worked great, but the sink drain was clogged. I had to go ask for another towel as we were only provided one towel and I had noted two guests on the reservation. The elevator sounds like it’s about to go out of service at any moment.
Renovation in progress of the property, but staff was helpful with late check-in (we had called ahead). The morning breakfast was a bit better than the standard fare at hotels it seemed.
Property did not even have the type of room I booked. I booked the King suite with sofa bed and when I called to confirm, the front desk immediately sent me to terrible hold music without even acknowledging me or answering the phone (just immediately answer and click me over to the hold music) so I did not even know if the phone number was working or I was calling the right place. This happened three times before they finally said the name of the hotel and asked me to hold.
I needed the king suite because I was traveling with a toddler and baby, and that is what I booked (which was $20 more than the normal king room). When I called they told me they didn't even have that type of room, and if I wanted a refund, I needed to call hotels.com, that there was nothing they could do.
We did not get the type room we reserved.

Tub very slippery.
Not enough towels, no hooks to place used towels to dry.
Toilet was very, very low. Inconvenient for seniors.

Renovation Not Finished !
the front desk and the main greeting area were still under construction.
This was a major fault for me since the pics of the place and its description gave no indication it was still in a major renovation.
The room was average but lights had no bulbs on 2 fixtures.
i give this hotel a below average rating for these reasons.

The hotel is under construction. Room didn’t have bedding for pull out bed or towels when we arrived. Only 1 lamp and bathroom lights worked; other lights dead. Bathtub was dirty but everything else was clean. Staff however was friendly!
Room was great except for minor repairs needed, libel under remodel but it was handled well, pool area needed updating. Room was very clean and comfortable
