They need to remodel their facilities because some doors are old and the rooms look bad conditioned but it's ok to stay a night

Definitely wouldnt stay there again. The pictures will show why. Place just looked dirty. As soon as you walked in. Didnt feel comforting. Stains on the walls. Chair was dirty. Table was dusty. Chips and damaged walls. Ac unit barely worked, kept cutting off. Bathroom had mold in the shower. Blankets had holes & marks on them.

Great customer service but bad smell

The front desk person was very polite and super nice but the smell was uncomfortable, as soon as we walked into the building it smelled like Marijuana and then our room did as well. I know nothing can be done about guests smoking but it was still unpleasant specially since we were going to a family event and had that odor on us.

Everything is old and dirty. Dust everywhere. Booked a three night stay only stayed there for the first night due to wife having severe allergic reaction because of so much dust. Not sure what is going on there but would avoid at all cost.

DISGUSTING

This place is disgusting. We checked in, room on the second floor at the very end. We walked into a humid, 76 degree room; walks were cracked and paint peeling. The door to enter didn't even meet the floor threshold leaving a gap and a breeze coming through. There were stains on the blanket of the bed, hair on he pillow, dust on the furniture pieces. I opened the bathroom door to find the tile in the bathroom cracking and black underneath, the countertops to the sink were not clean, and the top of the toilet eve was not wiped off. We didn't even bother to complain or request a refund. We immediately took the room key back to the desk and left. I DO NOT recommend. How this place passes any kind of inspection or code is baffling.

We were in a first floor room. In order to plug anything in,I had to move a dresser. Every wall was chipped. And/or rusted. We asked for more towels. Front desk said ask housekeepers.. housekeepers said as front desk. The bath towel was no bigger than a cloth diaper. And we never got anymore.

Property was clean, but rooms were a bit run down. AC/Heat was not working properly and was obnoxiously loud when used. There was no water pressure. Staff was asked not to disturb and the knocking on the door started at 10am on a 3 day stay.

If you can stay away from this property please do. First off the tub looked very filthy. The toilet bowl looks very disgusting with yellow stains inside of it. The sheet had a burnt hole on it. The pictures must be at least 15 years old. Room number 105 did not look anything like the picture.

Get Away from the Getaway Hotel

“Getaway is really two words. Get AWAY. Room 1 reeked of weed. The smoke alarm was screaming to change its batteries and then fell off the wall hanging on by a lone wire dangling like a bungee jumper in distress. The heater was loud and sounded like a transmission without oil. Room 2. Smelled better, better alarm , heater still growled and the tv remote didn’t work the TV. this is your last resort motel if you need a place to sleep after the Nassau Colliseum. my god it was bad.
